Student debt forgiveness is needed to move society forward. If not, the birthrate gonna look like Japan. So America should be filled with people with no formal education past high school and everyone working in trades with no regulations and suppressed wages?

My sister is an orthopedic surgeon and I've been around her friends. For a guy who has been around it as long as you claim you seem to be unfamiliar with the match process but to be fair that's more of a med school thing.

And Damn near every med student wants to do derm because it's cushy job with regular hours that pays really well.

And you're right, the gp tract pays the least so American grads go for high paying specialties which aren't lacking in finding people.

The only way you could possibly convince a med student to do gp to work in an underserved area would be to offer some type loan repayment assistance OR lower tuition (which is something I believe you were against). Otherwise we will be stuck with shytty foreign docs

Thank you, I'm trying to understand why everyone feels they loans should be forgiven in the first place. If you borrow money pay it back, if you don't want to pay it back don't take the money. Nobody put a gun to your head and made you take it.

Point is higher education shouldn't be expensive. At least the state level. California does a good job so someone working a minimum wage job could pay their tuition off while working part time.
