None of it has been set aside exclusively for black farmers.

This is what I mean, we can't have honest conversation because you refuse to be honest.
This is exactly what I'm talking about. You not even honest and understanding the game that has to be played. Over 80% of recipients were black farmers.

Let me guess you rather they have gotten nothing if it wasn't 100% right?

Tariq doesn’t like criticizing Trump. There’s a lot of buyer’s remorse in this video’s comments section from Black Trump supporters :snoop:

I didn’t see any Black Trump supporters or “buyer’s remorse” in the comment section.

I did see Black Dem Plantation Slave Shill Trolls in the comment section, friend.

You need to pay more attention. Go look up "Pigford II settlement." That netted Black farmers 1.25b in restitution.

Don't even need to click the link--Pigford concerns a class action claim that was brought against the USDA in the late-90's, during the Clinton administration. It's been awhile, but I believe new claims were approved in 2008, during the waning days of the Bush administration.

Irami's original point was about how we've never seen or heard either Obama or Harris publicly advocating that reparations are owed to the black community as a whole, or perhaps to American Descendants of Slaves in particular.

Stop playing dumb. :martin:

The MAGA/Republican media infrastructure is on another level that I didn't realize til this year. The way they even have black people buying into their nonsense is incredible to see. I was shocked to hear people in my own social circle repeating the same MAGA talking points verbatim "I went with Trump cause I was just tired of democrats taking my vote for granted. At least I was getting checks from Trump and doing better economically under Trump".

Democrats need to get their shyt together to combat this level of media influence or else country will hit a point of no return
Man I've had a unique perspective of human thought and perception outside of my normal circle by running social accounts for work/business/side projects...

Just recently saw a brehette on FB telling her cousin she votin for Trump cause it was more money in her life.

"Fr, cuz go back and look at your pictures from 2016-2020 and see how you was living" and tripled down on that dumb shyt to the other cousin who was clearly more intellectual :dead:

No, I would rather those elected to public office advocate for black farmers and all black descendants of slaves.

I would rather them have the necessary backbone to advocate specifically for the problems concerning black people and black families.

It is restitution you disingenuous freak. New claims were approved by a Democratic-controlled Congress, where Barack Obama was a member at the time and supported the effort, along with key figures like Nancy Pelosi and members of the Agriculture Committees in both the House and Senate. It was the Obama administration that fully addressed the new claims, negotiated the terms, and finalized the payouts.

Irami is an idiot who claims to understand the different treatment Black people receive in this country, but still made a dumb comparison to what a privileged white man can do.

"80%"
- Some guy using un-cited statistics
About $1.76 billion in payments were issued to Black producers in the U.S. in a financial assistance program that attempts to alleviate financial loss due to discrimination. “Over 80 percent of the recipients were Black farmers,” said the Deputy Secretary of Agriculture, Xochitl Torress Small at the Congressional Black Caucus’ Mississippi Policy Conference in Tunica, Mississippi this past weekend. She furthered, “Over 70 percent of the recipients came from the Southeast [region of the U.S.].”

Of the 2.2b funds, over half went to Black farmers exclusively. These were the funds earmarked for them, but blocked by white farmers and Trump admin people. Almost 70% of the funds went to an overwhelming majority of the recipients who were Black.

$1.5 billion of the funding provided under the 2022 Inflation Reduction Act will go directly Black farmers, Tracy Lloyd McCurty, executive director of Black Belt Justice Center, said.
