The point is, the people who were supposed to fight for your reparations wanted nothing to do with it out of cowardice.

That's a much larger issue, to me, than what Trump is doing.

It means there is no bulwark to protect you and yours, even those that look like you and claim to share in your values are not willing to fight for what is best for you.
Now you're being intellectually dishonest. A Black candidate who pushes hard on reparations and has to keep bringing up the systemic racism that Black Americans face will never be allowed to run for president. You're acting like there are equal standards of tolerance for this discussion for any candidate from any background in a country that has yet to even admit it has systemic racism and owes us for slave labor. The very reason a Black candidate should be asking for reparations is the exact same reason they will never be allowed to run while seeking reparations.

Obama literally wore a tan suit and got raked over the coals, and you expect him to be able to facilitate a honest discussion with Congress about reparations?

Politicians with they strategists are some idiots..in a capitalistic nation where you can raise a billion to campaign and there are less than 150M households..could do.an Elon and give each household a million dollars or half of that to secure lifelong votes. Doesnt affect anyone since idiots will still spend it all on the economy than give it to corporate bullies.

Maybe thats why I'm not a politician.

Exactly. Obama and Harris won't do anything but cede position to so-called moderates and the white women who control their party. That's how you get trans rights, gay rights, and abortion at the forefront of the democratic platform.
That little piece is cool.. but what is MAGA running on? Division and hate?

nikkas can't stop exposing themselves and u have kumbaya c00ns saying that we brothers in arms.

Y'all not my brothers not matter what color ur skin is.

Acting like that shyt doesn't affect black folk you're a bytch.

Atlanta got the most gay people in the country and they average nikkas just like me .
Hoe ass nikkas like u are enemies of progress and this country need to do a way with that

Then one has to ask, what is the significance of having a "black" candidate if they are too cowardly to advocate for a platform that benefits black people?

If they are unwilling to speak to historical injustices and advocate for some type of redress, why should I care about having him (or her) in office?

Deracinated people have to be willing to speak to their condition and what led up to it. There is no reason to have a representative who is unwilling to do so.

The correct take, btw.

This post isn't even technically correct. Obama successfully got reparations for black farmers during his first term. Then you elected Trump and your boy overturned it. and is talking about doing it for white people now.
This is literally just a defense of white supremacy nothing more.

The same systemic racism that continues to disenfranchise us has create inequity in every facet of life. One of the ways to navigate a systemically racist system that refuses to entertain discussion about it's racism is to focus on the symptoms of said racism. One of the most damaging symptoms of systemic inequity is within the field of healthcare. Obama had several agenda items targeting symptoms of systemic inequity, like healthcare, that had seemingly race neutral goals. This is the only way to get broad support from a racist system with racist policymakers. You have to have interest convergence that seems to benefit them and their constituents. He did this really well and there have been benefits. I understand you want a Garvey or Malcolm in that seat, but we're talking about levels of power here, and if we're going to have someone at that level who has to play this game in this particular way, at the very least I want someone who is subversive enough to know how to move to help us in the restricted ways they are able to.

You're just being disingenuous at this point. The amount of legal hoops Biden had to jump through to get black farmers their due was a lot. Constant road blocks and legal pushback. The largest of those was led by Stephen Miller who was just appointed to Trump's administration as chief of staff. We're playing two different games whether you want to accept that or not

But let you tell it the Democrats don't even try to do anything. They're more interested in helping trannies get sex changes in prison right? :childplease:

Black women couldn't even give other black women money without legal challenges and courts shutting it down but Dems were supposed to give us reparations :gucci:

Trump is going to be able to do this because he's got the Senate and House who will rubber stamp whatever the fukk he wants and a Supreme Court majority with judges who don't give a fukk about the law and want to push forward their right wing agenda.

It took them a minute to gather their talking points, but "FBA" and Internet Ass Muhfukkas alike are saying this doesn't count cause he didn't say "reparations" verbatim.

The man is talking about stripping endowments from universities for wrongdoing, and giving a portion (whatever that means) to those affected by said wrongdoing, but it's okay, he said it's RESTITUTION. Not REPARATIONS.

We shoulda BEEN following the logic and cues of a high school dropout :blessed:
