Yall need to make up your minds. Do HBCUs lack prestige or not? I would say to many black people they do lack prestige. Or at least black people know the whites who they will seek employment from post college will look at their resume,and not see the prestige in an HBCU. So they instead choose to go to white schools. If HBCUs are pumping out brilliant black minds,obviously they are going to work for the European and not getting credit. I dont know of any HBCU graduates impacting the country,tech or medicine. I guess we had Kamala in politics,but we all know the knock on her,unfair or not. Lets just say brilliant mind wasnt how most described her. If the goal is pumping out brilliant blacks to work for the European, Fine,go fill out applications like everyone else and hope the whites employing arent racist.

I dont care about HBCUs ability to create opportunities for success. If those oppurtunities ultimately are assimilation and enhancing white infrastructure,tech and business etc. Maybe forcing black people back into HBCUs under durress will actually make them truly pro black again. In the past HBCUs were a think tank, that created the legal strategy and planning that allowed a means black upliftment,and social mobility as a collective. Do you think thats happening at HBCUs right now.. No,its a hotbed of black people looking to get ahead individually and eventually assimilate
Not true, HBCUS are the last bastion of hope for black Americans producing intellectuals that are actually conscious of who they are in this country. PWIs are the institutions that produce black people like you describe. No consciousness of who they are and no need to try to build their (black) community.
So wheres the community these black hbcu graduates created? How have they shifted conscienceness of black people?Your statement is actually unfair to black pwi graduates. Im saying black people who think like that are very rare. And their views going into college can change greatly with the real world as well as success. Im not looking to paint HBCU attendees or PWI atendees in a negative light. The overwhelming majority of us have assimilated and are comfortable with that idea. I just dont see HBCUs contributing to black upliftment as a collective as it stands. No affirmative action,and America making it clear they are against black people SHOULD change that. But its in black peoples hands how we choose to go foward. If what you say is true,under these circumstances we should see some sort of poltical/legal movement form out of these HBCUs within these next 4 years

Black people so lost and confused.This is what's its supposed to look like when your party wins. When the Democrats win, they do the same, breaking off their most valued constituencies with favorable legislation and giveaways.
