HBCUs are full of prestige and has pushed out the best and brightest of FBAs. Presently, despite the oppression and lack of funding, HBCUs like my alma mater Alcorn State (this nation's first Land-grant HBCU Public 4year institution) produces 80% of black judges, 50% of black doctors, and 40% of Black engineers. The punching above our weight is astounding given the fact that there are only 102 HBCUs in this nation amongst 3000k colleges in the U.S. What HBCUs lack is funding to create programs and grow and expand Black American's opportunities for success. Again, you get rid of HBCUs all together, our communities ability to have any kind of social mobility is destroyed.
