  • Take steps to require people registering to vote to provide documented proof of U.S. citizenship, such as a U.S. passport, and require federal agencies to help state and local officials verify voters’ citizenship;
  • Prohibit the counting of absentee and mail ballots received after Election Day, which some states currently permit;
Whats wrong with this?

The DMV already has all that information, why do we have to give it to another agency to lose all your information in a cyber hack

This is illegal. A president doesn't have this authority. Election laws are controlled by states and Congress, not the White House. He can't unilaterally change voter registration rules, dictate how states count ballots, or withhold federal funds to force compliance.

Still, people shouldn't ignore this because it gives critical insight into how he plans to undermine elections in the future. Even if courts block it, the goal is to spread the idea that elections can't be trusted unless *they* win. The order might not have any real legal standing, but that won't stop Red states from adhering to the "spirit" of it to further disenfranchise voters.

This. But the problem is that red states WILL change their laws to fall in line with his wishes effectively securing any red state as one that goes for him period. So if you live in a purple state like Ohio and have a conservative governor. You ain't purple no more. REDRUM for you now.
