Getting close to that point... real close..
Fox News basically runs the country. There have been many times when Fox would say something, then Trump would tweet out the exact same thing minutes later. People behind the scenes were calling Sean Hannity the shadow Chief of Staff, and that the only reason Trump didn't go to war with Iran is because Tucker Carlson stopped him.So let me get this straight he saw some cac on Fox New telling him to do this and he went ahead and did this? Makes it sound like he didn't even know this existed till he saw it on Fox and the racist that he is couldn't contain himself.
“Hannity Has Said to Me More Than Once, ‘He’s Crazy’”: Fox News Staffers Feel Trapped in the Trump CultHannity played his part masterfully. But his friends told me he was burnt out for long stretches of the Trump presidency. Being the president’s “shadow chief of staff,” as he was known around the White House, could be a thrill, but it was also a serious burden. Hannity counseled Trump at all hours of the day; one of his confidants said the president treated Hannity like Melania, a wife in a sexless marriage. Arguably, he treated Hannity better than Melania. Hannity’s producers marveled at his influence and access. “It’s a powerful thing to be someone’s consigliere,” one producer said. “I hear Trump talk at rallies, and I hear Sean,” a family friend commented.
Hannity chose this life, so no one felt sorry for him, but the stress took its toll. “Hannity would tell you, off-off-off the record, that Trump is a batshyt crazy person,” one of his associates said. Another friend concurred: “Hannity has said to me more than once, ‘he’s crazy.’”
NPR Choice page"This is a relationship that is extraordinary, because Trump shapes Hannity's show [and] Hannity advises the president on policy and personnel," Stelter says. "And then at 9 o'clock sharp, the president is watching Hannity deliver the talking points that they have already discussed."
"When the virus was silently spreading in the United States in February and early March, some of his biggest stars [on Fox News] downplayed the threat, almost edged into denialism," he says. "And the biggest problem about that is that Trump heard it. He echoed it. They echoed Trump back. So we're into this grotesque feedback loop where they're telling each other it's going to be OK, and they are lulling the president into a false sense of security about the virus."
Carlson took this virus more seriously than a lot of his on-air colleagues. He warned about it in January. He warned about it in February. Now, that's partly because of his animosity toward China. But he was warning about this virus early on.
So in early March, a White House aide — we don't know who, Carlson's never said who — asked him to drive across the state of Florida to go to Mar-a-Lago and try to talk some sense into President Trump to try to convince Trump to take the virus seriously. That meeting happened about a week before Trump actually did start to change his tone. So it didn't work right away. But Carlson at least tried.
Did Fox's Tucker Carlson play role in calming Iran pressure?NEW YORK (AP) — Here’s a point to ponder: To what extent is Fox News Channel’s Tucker Carlson responsible for President Donald Trump stepping away from a potential war with Iran?
From his prime-time perch on the top-rated cable network, Carlson has advocated restraint in dealing with Iran, and resisted cheerleading the Trump-ordered drone killing of Iranian Gen. Qasem Soleimani.
Shortly after the story of Iran’s counter-attack broke on Tuesday, Carlson hosted a show that mixed coverage of the story as details became known, emphasizing early reports of a lack of American casualties, and interviews with experts on the Middle East. Some of those guests pointed out the dangers of spiraling escalation.
“I continue to believe the president doesn’t want a full-blown war,” Carlson said. “Some around him might, but I think most sober people don’t want that.”
Trump, who announced his decision not to retaliate against Iran’s missile strikes in a nationally televised address 14 hours later, told some close to him that he watched Carlson’s show, according to BuzzFeed News. He told confidants in recent days that Carlson’s strong advocacy not to escalate the situation in Iran played a role in his decision-making, two White House officials and Republicans close to the West Wing told The Associated Press on Thursday.
What do you mean?Getting close to that point... real close..
I told you. They're waiting on their instructions.I feel like I'm taking crazy pills.
And the usual suspects who shyt on Biden and the dems are predictably silent.
that's what the GOP has become these days. All their policies fail miserably (Reaganomics led to outsourcing, NCLB led to school closures etc), so they don't even have political policies anymore. Since Obama, the platform of the GOP has been to literally say "no" to whatever policy progressives put forward. They're all trolls.
Of course they aren't, Trump is their candidate.@TRY GOD @BigRemy_J do open white supremacists get immunity from ya'll because they open with it? Do you not have smoke for people who are open with their racism because at least their honest about it?
Ya'll are "pro-black men" who are about that action against white supremacy right? Not even a comment? Not even an acknowledgment of this? You really think reparations are an attainable goal with this motherfukker in office?
You really not gonna stand with your people to get this open racist out? Or does he get a pass because you at least know where he stands? Is that with the "I like my racism out in the open" is about? Giving passes to white supremacists because their honest about it?
