REPORTER: Amazon will soon display a number next to the price of each product that shows how much the Trump tariffs are adding. Isn't that a perfect demonstration that it's the American consumer who is paying for these policies?
LEAVITT: This is a hostile and political act by Amazon.

Hostile and political act? Trump’s actions have consequences.

Oh my!
So Trump is losing his billionaire friends and is bringing out the tried and tested 'it's a witch hunt' manoeuvre.
396% tariffs on all Amazon purchases from tomorrow.

@SundaeDivine
Thanks to tariffs, Amazon’s “suggested products” now include do-it-yourself bankruptcy kits.

I don’t think it’s hostile. I think that’s a fair part of pricing important to know. And I hope it wakes people up to see how much is coming from China and how dependent we are on them.

A hostile and political act?

**REPORTER:** Amazon will soon display a number next to the price of each product that shows how much the Trump tariffs are adding. Isn't that a perfect demonstration that it's the American consumer who is paying for these policies?
**LEAVITT:** This is a hostile and political act by Amazon.
**REPORTER:** Hostile? It’s called transparency. You raise the prices — they show the math. If you can’t defend the cost, maybe the problem isn’t the label. It’s your tariff policy.
**LEAVITT:** The administration believes these tariffs are necessary to protect American industry.
**REPORTER:** Then why hide the price tag? If it’s such a winning strategy, why does showing the truth suddenly feel like sabotage?
**LEAVITT:** These kinds of displays are designed to mislead the public.
**REPORTER:** No — they’re designed to remind Americans that "America First" came with an additional cost to them. And now you’re just upset someone kept it.

No, KKKaroline - the "hostile and political act" was performed by Felon Trump.
Amazon simply displaying how much those hostile and political acts are affecting their customers' wallets is called "good business".
Nobody should blame Amazon for the higher costs. Blame Trump!

“Amazon is hostile for telling the truth” is what I got from that

Democrats continue to not understand that tariffs are used for negotiation.
