I really don't know why they were still there. I would've been looking for another job and submitted my resignation on Jan 17th.

Depends on how you define DEI. Most Federal employees were hired under some DEI style program.

When I was getting out of the Army they had a dude who was blind and in a wheelchair from the department of Labor saying how accommodating the Federal Goverment is to the disabled. This was a white guy.

So if we’re removing DEI hires all those Veterans and schedule A employees ( regular disabled employees) would have to go.

Also people don’t know that Teach for America, Peace Corps and some recent College graduates all get special hiring considerations so they would all have to go too.

Most of these executive orders will be tied up in court battles and slow walked. Most Federal workers will be alright.

He reiterated his plan to take back the Panama Canal he didn’t say how.

He’d have to seize and hold it and reopen those closed Military bases to keep the canal that has diminishing returns that’s partially dried up and the largest cargo ships can’t use.

I know a navy veteran who got an IT job at Treasury that ended up dating the lady who interviewed him.

Sounds illegal as hell but those are the people Trump is counting on to implement policy. Then after you kick out all those people you have to hire new people.

The census Bureau and an Navy Intelligence office is in Suitland Maryland. I had a white supervisor stationed nearby at Andrews that couldn’t wait to get out of there.

Man the lawsuites that are going to get filed are going to be crazy.

We have a DEI office in my agency and honestly I haven't seen them do much except training sessions and put on events. They even had a trans speaker come in last month, but of course I didn't attend . I just hope they get moved into other positions in their agencies. They don't deserve to be terminated. Although I expect many will leave the federal government. But I don't think there will be many DEI opportunities in the private sector either.

I have been on hiring panels for many jobs in my agency and I never cared about If they were male of female. Although I did give brehs and brehettes the benefit of the doubt. Honetly, I looked at people who were the best fits for the team. I did have a boss get mad at me cause he wanted to hire this arab dude. But a PAAG came in and blew the interview out the water . Had to hire her.
