Its fascinating to see him wield his power like this after we were told for 4 years that presidents can't do anything and need congressional approval to get things done.

So of Biden wanted, he could've canceled all the student loans on his way out and told everyone to kiss his ass.

If Trump is doing this now, what the hell will his goodbye look like
It's disingenuous to compare Trump's use of executive orders to roll back protections or push legally dubious actions, like revoking birthright citizenship, to Biden's attempts to cancel student loans. First, executive power isn't a free pass to do whatever a president wants. Biden attempted to cancel student loans through the HEROES Act, but the Supreme Court ruled it exceeded his authority.

Second, your Trump glazing ignores how his birthright citizenship order is illegal, as it directly violates the 14th Amendment. It's already being challenged in court, same with his other overreaching actions. This narrative conveniently overlooks how often Trump's executive orders are blocked by courts for exceeding his authority.

Finally, the idea that he "could have canceled all student loans on his way out" shows a deep misunderstanding of how executive power works, and an even deeper susceptibility to Trump's spectacle.

Ok I think I see his real play. He is basically forcing countries hands and making them take back their people. Either it can be on military flights handcuffed with the threat of tarrifs and economic sanctions or you can provide transport. Let's see how it plays out.
