I think their angle is: he may be a traitor, but it’s not worthy of impeachment.

They should have impeached him about a month back. I am old enough to remember when Obama wanted the ACA to be bipartisan. He ended up wasting so much political capital for nothing. This impeachment inquiry is coming across as a similar misadventure.
