John Kasich just told CNN he's "across the Rubicon" and that President Trump should be impeached. "I say it with great sadness."

It is putting a great deal of pressure on them and that's the exact reason I don't see the need for people to be in here going back and forth with those who are concern trolling.We probably should start to track comments by Senate GOP. These daily developments have to be putting pressure on them as well when it comes to trial time.
Trump is so brazen that only his cult will deny the obvious crimes. Impeachment is a win win.
If the GOP decides to convict, he is out of here. 2020 is a lock.
If the GOP refuses to convict, he is severely wounded going into 2020 and so is the GOP Senate Majority.

Fuc*ing terrible.
You must be fortunate enough not to know any Republican voters to think this.
GOP isn't going to convict period, they're too scared of the base. And I don't see their refusal to do so particularly hurting their chances of keeping the Senate. It might increase anger towards them, but only from people who weren't going to vote Republican anyway.
I think at this point they have to impeach regardless, just off GP, but politically it's a wash.
Those senators are so blind and demonic though. The base will always attach itself to whoever is next. Trump will be yesterdays news by next election. We'll see how much he likes those hillbillies when he's out of office and doesn't take 1 day to go visit them doing his little stand up routines. Once he's out of office and the base sees the true extent of his criminality in the coming months and years, they'll just pretend they were behind the impeachment too. GOP needs to hold their nuts and get this done.You must be fortunate enough not to know any Republican voters to think this.

@jaketapper
Denied quid pro quo with Ukraine.
Then admitted it.
Then denied it.
And they’re now selling shirts.

Over the last several weeks we have seen his constituency, preferred media outlet and party representatives slowly start making distance from him.
