The key to defeating Trump are the voters who have rarely, if ever, been involved in the political process. Those people don't get polled and don't give a fukk generally because they feel things dont ever concern them. These are the indifferent and the young. Can’t recall who made this point but an expert on foreign policies that was on msnbc said that it’s easier to paint the Ukraine thing as the Democrats just trying to attack Trump and just media bias against him and his administration.
