He was the President then and the only reason that he wasn't charged is because Trump started firing people in the FBI and DOJ and interfering with their investigations. Trump then appointed Barr and Barr then derailed the investigation of Mueller. However Trump was still impeached twice.

This time Trump is not the President. They just raided his crib. He committed treason against the USA by setting up an insurrection and trying to overturn the democracy. He and his crooked friends also broke election laws in several States and now they have proof that he was committing espionage. They are going to charge him with something and he knows it which is why he is trying to mobilize his crash test dummies.

And they grabbed his passports too. Like you don't get your passports snatched for no reason.

Everybody who was popping big noise immediately after the raid is silent now. And Guiliani has to be weighing whether to run his mouth or plead the 5th. He'll likely plead 5th.

DeSantis will continue to run Trump talking points because he can't take the white house without them and he'll still lose a good deal of them out of spite so he is likely screwed on that note regardless.
