It's so fukking insane that Tucker can be allowed to speak like this. And I believe his show is the most popular by a long shot. I can't even put it into words but the moment I play some clip from his show, I just get this weird feeling, like surely people wouldn't take this guy seriously, but you know people that listen to him believe every single word he says. And if you have ever watched his interviews, the less formal ones, he just gives you the creeps, like "American Psycho" but without the criminality.

he'll keep doing it. something happens. he slightly apologizes. then he keeps going. you can't do anything about it.

They'll just replace him with someone else. Its a long standing problem.

That guy is a major problem, it's his tone, the presentation, etc., everything he does is seemingly crafted to condition people. And yet I have to sit back and allow that trash to happen because 1st amendment and other legal protections. Tucker fuels right-wing terror in this country, if he were fueling islamic terror, they would be at his door in an instant on the basis of "national security" but crickets in response as he sparks up the next mass shooter.

shyt won't change until there are thousands of Timothy McVeigh's and Dylan Roof's causing mayhem across the country. Lets be honest, this country will never take right wing extremism seriously until it totally destabilizes the country and interrupts big business.

And if people were a tad bit brighter they'd be able to connect the dots and tie this extremism to rhetoric like Tucker Carlson's and the right in general. We need a mass movement to demand legislation to counter hate speech and misinformation in the media. But that isn't happening anytime soon.

It's been the same shyt for the last couple years

Trump makes the news for something

Yall think he is about to go down and make a bunch of post talking about it

Nothing happens

I really would like to disagree with you here, but I really can't. :francis:

I don't have enough confidence in the US government to actually make Trump and his associates answer for their crimes. If this had been Obama he would have been in Gitmo, under the jail.

I just think that it's important not to become apathetic to Trump's bullshyt. If no one cares when he does heinous shyt, it won't be too long before people forget he did any heinous shyt at all. The Trump tax cuts and his terrible COVID response completely fukked this country's economy, and it will be a long time before we see the depth of damage those things have done.

Coming across a lotta folks like this. I get it but I don't. Because what has happened in the last month is nothing like the last few years. Not even close.

Also the same folks who usually run this talk say don't vote and run down Democrats. But if Democrats would have had a majority this dude would have been out of the paint. :manny: This cannot be argued. He had a lot of protections as President because of the Senate. Also cannot be argued.

Stuff is catching up. But I get it. It's much easier to just say 'he gon get away widdit'.

Be real what do you think is going to happen to an ex president ? Jail or probation?

They put too much focus on taking down trump and if it works his supporters will just jump on what ever republican is up next

F.B.I. Interviewed Top White House Lawyers About Missing Trump Documents
Pat A. Cipollone and Patrick F. Philbin are the most senior people who worked for the former president who are known to have been interviewed in the investigation into his handling of classified material.

Aug. 16, 2022, 2:17 p.m. ET

Pat A. Cipollone and Patrick F. Philbin, the White House counsel and his deputy under President Donald J. Trump, were interviewed by the F.B.I. in connection with boxes of sensitive documents that were stored at Mr. Trump’s residence in Florida after he left office, three people familiar with the matter said.

Mr. Cipollone and Mr. Philbin are the most senior people who worked for Mr. Trump who are known to have been interviewed by investigators
after the National Archives referred the matter to the Justice Department this year.

Mr. Philbin was interviewed in the spring, according to two of the people familiar with the matter, as investigators reached out to members of Mr. Trump’s circle to find out how 15 boxes of material — some of it marked as classified — made its way to his Mar-a-Lago resort in Palm Beach, Fla. It was unclear when Mr. Cipollone was interviewed.

Mr. Cipollone and Mr. Philbin were Mr. Trump’s representatives to deal with the National Archives; they were named to the positions shortly before the president’s term ended, in January 2021. At some point after National Archives officials realized they did not have Trump White House documents, which are required to be preserved under the Presidential Records Act, they contacted Mr. Philbin for help returning them.

A spokesperson for Mr. Philbin did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Mr. Philbin tried to help the National Archives retrieve the material, two of the people familiar with the discussions said. But the former president repeatedly resisted entreaties from his advisers.

“It’s not theirs, it’s mine,” several advisers say Mr. Trump told them.

The former president returned 15 boxes of material to the National Archives in January, but the Justice Department issued a subpoena in May for documents that were still at his residence.
On June 3, counterintelligence officials with the Justice Department’s national security division went to Mar-a-Lago to collect remaining documents with classified markings.

At that point, at least one Trump lawyer signed a statement saying material with the classified markings had been returned, according to four people familiar with the document. But officials then used a subpoena to obtain surveillance footage of the hallway outside a storage room at Mar-a-Lago and saw something that alarmed them. They also received information from at least one witness who indicated that more material might remain at the residence, people familiar with the investigation said.

Mr. Philbin is among eight people who currently or used to work for Mr. Trump who have been contacted by the F.B.I. since a grand jury was formed this year.
Investigators also interviewed Derek Lyons, a former White House staff secretary.

Mr. Lyons’s last day at the White House was Dec. 18, 2020, meaning he did not know how the last boxes were packed as Mr. Trump prepared to leave. But he had information about paper flow in the White House and how the former president handled material.

The F.B.I. has reached out to about a half-dozen people who currently work for Mr. Trump and who might know what documents he may still have in his possession.

Literally nobody says this but undercover Trump supporters. Maybe that isn't you but it's a statement that makes him into a victim which he isn't.

If this guy was clean he would be allowed to sail into the sunset like other presidents before him but he clearly is dirty. Add that to the fact he has made a ton of enemies during his term and jail is very possible. We are in uncharted territory. Never had anybody screw up on this level. Makes Nixon's problems look like something he should have been given a warning for. He could be pardoned. But that stigma gets to follow him to his grave and he can't run again. That latter is really all the punishment he would need but as I have said jail is possible barring a pardon of course.

As far as his supporters? A lot of posters here are obsessed with his supporters so it's not just you. Let me kill all that right now. None! Not a bit! Zilch! Zip! Zero! No part of this is about reforming Trump supporters! It is about holding an idiot lawbreaker accountable. If you think this is about making his supporters noble you are worrying over stuff that can't be controlled x 1000. They will absolutely just move on. They have been on that wave for decades. Nothing new there.
