Bro no way Asians r getting played the same as white american s...in the tech industryWell shyt ...
Just like I told @DrX , keep thinking companies are low balling Indians/Asians. Tech companies want to bring more of them over here. It's only going to get worse. I'm with trump on this one.

Already... Why is that then? Why pay an Indian the sane as a fellow American? Is it because their better? The ones who work offshore aren't . But the ones Who work at the companies do. Look at the employee makeup of Facebook.. You'll find similar results at other tech companies.

On this issue, he's right.
They've been trying their hardest to bring down the price of 'coders', hence the 'everybody needs to code' movements and the increase in h1b movements. It's a play to bring down the cost of labor, but the thing is, keep playing with the top notch American programmers and watch them start their own companies and bring in competition, and watch those Indians go back home and create their own start-ups.
These guys are trying to save money in the short-term, but little do they know of the risk they are posing to America by driving people away from tech and giving workers abroad all the experience and introducing competition for themselves abroad while causing the domestic tech skill base to shrink.
double edged sword though...cause a lot of these companies were founded BY H-1BsWell shyt ...

This is a brilliant analysis and I've never thought of it as a way to devalue the skill sets. Honestly it's like a fad. And it's kind of sad because being a good solid programmer has lots of layers to it. There's no way to shortcut vs. a Comp Sci major (except the RARE people who are really good self taught). I had to take progamming and I absolutely suck at it.
I have friends that ARE Comp Sci and Engineering grads who are brilliant at it, I wouldn't dare try to think I could get on their level when intro C++ whipped my natural azz.
There are no shortcuts to learning highly detailed technical skills...
You seem to be conflating Asian Americans with foreign workers here on H1B work visas.Xenophobia at its best all over this thread.
the valley has always been Asian dominated. The Bay Area has always been a home for Asians since the 1800s
Many of the professional Asian workers in the valley, if not most, are American citizens including myself.
50% of Berkeley is Asian along with all other colleges in the Northern California.
We work hard, get ahead in society, and now we are being attacked by blacks (as always), whites and all non-Asians.
H1-bs are here because they are smart and capable. They aren't getting low balled.
Finding qualified blacks and Hispanics is very hard. Much harder than you would think
