What you posted changes nothing I said…. And outside of teachers; you can’t find too many people on salary making 45k and under….(state employees but they don’t do real work anyway). You out of touch with the common negro…..

If you are on salary, overtime is already factored in….To grant them overtime is spitting in the face of hourly wage nikkas…. If you can’t understand that then that’s evidence you don’t fukk with nikkas in general
Oh it’s a lot of folks out there that fall under this. A looot of folks.

Why are y'all creating all these threads sneak dissing posters for not supporting Kamala lol? She ran a horrible campaign. Some of us tried warning y'all but y'all were delusional saying that she was about to win in a landslide.

You should be more upset with a judge that was put in power before 2024 and more judges like him that will be put in power later, as opposed to how someone campaigned in 2024.

Uneducated voters are going to f*ck us all over and at some point a line has gotta be drawn.

…just sayin

Hit up any news station in small town USA trying to sign gullible college graduates to contracts for 30K or less. Some MAY get the opportunity to get OT but a lot don’t. In the news industry, cats start out in these bumfukk towns hoping to make it to the big time one day. They either take the lowball offer or will wait for something better. The hope is to do their 2 or 3 years and dip.

I missed that part. Most salary workers i know are at 55k minimum. So was this a performative bill? Hourly retail and labor workers are the ones making below that so even if it passed who was it helping? This is based out in texas so does anybody know the salary of those workers? Im in a union and get OT after 40 but Texas is a right to work state with no unions right?
It literally would have made about 4,000,000 workers eligible for the overtime pay and additional protections.

This also applies to all federal employees - a district court can enjoin (stop) an administrative rule, statute, or law from being applied nationally.

They brought it in a district court that they knew would side with them.

Man miss me with this bullshyt. The average state employee salary in Alabama is 53k…. Probably the lowest income/ COL state in this states…. So who would this bullshyt policy apply too?

"The Labor Department's now-scuttled rule would have marked the biggest increase to that cap in decades. Employers were required pay overtime to salaried workers who make less than $43,888 a year in certain executive, administrative and professional roles as of July 1 — and that was set to rise to $58,656 next year.

The Labor Department estimated that an additional 4 million lower-paid salary workers would become eligible for overtime protections in the first year under the new rule. An additional 292,900 higher-compensated workers were also expected to get overtime entitlements through separate threshold increases."
