This is a classic Democrat trick to give off the illusion of being for the working class. Salaried workers get paid on average significantly more than wage workers. Compensation is based on the fact that they wouldn't have to get paid for overtime because it's build in.

Biden knew that shyt wasn't going to go threw, but it did it anyway so he can say he "fought" for the working class :mjlol:

And people will fall for it like they always do.

Thank you…. but it will be a bunch of fake nikkas posting in here just to get daps for saying “both sides” while indirectly disrespecting hourly wage workers… Can’t make this shyt up.

I have to ask, even though i know the answer, but do you nikkas READ?

Most hourly workers in the U.S. get overtime pay after 40 hours a week, but many salaried workers don’t qualify unless their earnings are below a set limit. The rule, which would have been the largest increase in overtime protection in decades, was meant to help salaried workers earning under $43,888 a year, with a scheduled increase to $58,656 next year. The rule could have brought overtime pay to 4 million workers in its first year alone. However, this hope has now been dashed as the threshold reverts to the 2019 figure of $35,568, set under the Trump administration.

This was not for people like me that are salary but make six figures, this was for people that make way less than that, the average worker. This rule was to help those that made less than 60k and were salaried, not people making 100k+, so what the fukk are you talking about? It sounds like you don't know people could be made salary and make 30-60k.

What you posted changes nothing I said…. And outside of teachers; you can’t find too many people on salary making 45k and under….(state employees but they don’t do real work anyway). You out of touch with the common negro…..

If you are on salary, overtime is already factored in….To grant them overtime is spitting in the face of hourly wage nikkas…. If you can’t understand that then that’s evidence you don’t fukk with nikkas in general

I am just going to call you an ignorant idiot and keep it moving. Crab in the barrel, "Why they get this and not me?" head ass. Instead of being upset about your lot in life, improve it instead of being in favor of fukking over others.

Yeah the salary under $45k caught my attention. Maybe it's me, but I've never heard of salaried $35k/yr wworkers.

Not saying it's impossible, but just a weird factor. It would be different if they said $40k to $90k, which the higher salaried workers are sometimes likely to work 50+hrs, at least in my field.

How many people would this have effected at such a low threshold?

if you're making under $50,000 and you're on salary, that's your fault for taking it.
When I was got promoted to manager at Cingular Wireless in 2009, they converted my wage into salary and and only gave me a 10% pay increase. People under me was making more money with overtime. When AT&T bought Cingular, they made it right, but then they laid off half my department (including me).

But the key difference is, I was promoted internally. Managers they hired externally started at $55,000 a year (again, this was in 2009), because they knew nobody was going to take a salaried job making that little.

Did 9 years in restaurants. 7 years was salary. It was well known across the board that hourly employees made more with OT. Employers will work you well over those 40/50 hours and you get no OT.

And because you can call off but still get paid, you fall for it. While not realizing that you NEVER call off because you don’t want to lose your job.

I’ve worked with enough salaried people making under 50K to know they would’ve LOVED to get OT

I’ll always be for folks making more. It doesn’t take food out my families mouth, and doesn’t take the roof away from our heads. I’ll never want people to not get paid more because I don’t like the way it feels. Pay people more!

1. Declining competitiveness
2. Rising inequality and conflict
3. Rise of new rivals

Three factors for decline. It's what got the romans, Dutch, French and British.

So this is what's going to happen:
The price of goods will continue to rise, and buying power will continue to shrink because Republicans hate unions and they hate paying out overtime. They want to pay as little as possible to get as much labor as possible.

They will double down on deportation, so that means the taxes on the income of migrants and the money gained from sales tax will vanish. The migrants were younger and able to do the physical labor, good luck getting a job as a delivery driver, animal processor, or vegetable picker at the age of 39 which is the median American age. The median white American age is 43 BTW. Those billions of dollars that would have been used on welfare that would help you stay afloat as you searched for a job will shrink, and then disappear entirely because welfare will be considered unconstitutional and socialist.

Because millions of people have no jobs, no welfare to bolster their savings they'll increase their debt with loans and credit cards. People will start to default on their debts because the government isn't raising the minimum wage, is supporting union busting which depresses wages, and does not want to spend on social programs that help people pay off their loans.

Banks will attempt to package these debts as securities and sell them to investors. Guess which countries currently have strong purchasing power and a growing number of millionaires and billionaires?

Because people's wages aren't rising and inflation is increasing because of tariffs, people will buy less frivolous crap. The tech sector has essentially become the engine of the American economy. But they're running out of ideas and the cost of tech is rising. The thing they're focusing on is AI, but all it really seems poised to do is replace even more jobs and ACCELERATE unemployment. Again, America has just elected a government who does not believe in the social safety net and wants to gut it. At the same time, the money they COULD be spending on getting people back to work or boosting buying power, they will spend on giving to Israel, subsidizing fossil fuel companies who will not pay higher wages, and tech which is actively fueling unemployment.

People will lose their houses as they default on their payments. Hospitals will be crammed with overdose deaths as homelessness and drug addiction increases. All types of crime from larceny, assault, and white collar crime will increase. AI will put a battery in the back of white collar crime and scams. As the population ages, more and more money will be wiped out through scams which old people are susceptible to. This will make the economic crisis worse.

Issa wrap. All you can do now is get activated at the local level and make sure that if you're in a republican state, you do what you can to flip it purple or blue. If you're in a blue state, elect people who actually want to raise state taxes on the wealthy and use it to invest in programs that will protect your state. Each state has the potential to have its own Healthcare plan, it's own jobs programs, and an education system that focuses on teaching kids how to think instead of indoctrinating them with white supremacist propaganda. The federal government is about to turn into a fukking circus and many people who relied on federal funds are about to get a wakeup call.

There is a lot of ignorance when it comes to employment and employment status. People seem to think that if you become salaried that you somehow "made it" and fukk whatever you are complaining about, not knowing that same energy gets transferred to wage increases, better benefits, etc.... Pretty much a lot of idiots talking and not knowing what they are talking about, ending up arguing against shyt that is more closer to their situation than the people fighting against it..
