We The North
Weakest episode so far this season. Vince just isn't a believable bad guy.
It's gonna come full circle at the end. That repeat of the freeway establishing shot struck me as weird too.
And I agree that Frank's storyline is coming across as completely unnecessary (and this is completely disregarding how awful I think Vaughn is in the role) and does nothing but bring the detectives storyline to a screeching halt.
Its like there are two different shows going on.
The writing can be a drag at some points, making it hard to watch but that's my only complaint.
The story is interesting, Vince is doing fine, and Colin is NOT the only compelling character. I wanna see where this one goes.
So was Nic Pizzolatto taking a shot at Cary Fukunaga with the alkie, douchebag Asian director?

Just a thought, the doctor who was being interviewed by Ray and Ani in the last episode most be the bad guy. He lives on a compound with guards and he is balling out of control. He is a psychologist with a side business in plastic surgery. He gets to hear the problems of the rich indulge them of their worse behavior. He knows all their secrets and scars them to a degree. He is the villan. Also I hope you guys see that Paul is way ahead of the others in this investigation.
Truly demonic. Athletic like the mayors son.
Don't know why he would do that. Fukunaga's directing hid a lot of his weak writing, which, not coincidentally, has seeped out all through this season. So was Nic Pizzolatto taking a shot at Cary Fukunaga with the alkie, douchebag Asian director?

But it is not a journey I consider worth taking so far based on what has been shown. It's gonna come full circle at the end.
According to the article the two guys hate one another and that exec producer credit is just that, Fukunaga has no actual input into this season at all.Why would he? Cary is an executive producer for this season
When Ray and Ani was at the movie set..did anyone get some vibes about that set photographer Ray questioned? The car we seen transporting Ben Caspere's dead body was stolen from that movie set.
