But True Detective is the only show that you listed that is currently airing. So why would we talk about GoT and BB being amongst the best shows currently airing :dahell:?

im talking all time lists my man... these first 5 episodes are better than ANY season of breaking bad... i put my 40k yearly salary on it...

and game of thrones isnt even worth comparing...

and im a fan of both those shows.... but this is another level.

Anyone notice the black stars on the windows at the end of the ep:

Good point and if there are records available they can find out which girls from that school got steered to that bunny ranch and how many were recruited for the cult. Word got around that Russ was the best at getting confessions out of perps. Imagine if he drawing out the real killers by feeding them the info he wants? Now that he is back on the grid again he could have been with the cult in someway undercover and now they may see him as a recruiter for them to get new victims and this whole thing is away to vet him? @marcuz you like this theory ?

That episode was :whoo:

The show continues it's march towards flat out horror. It's funny Rust talked about time and eternity in this episode, "An Inhabitant Of Carcosa" by Bierce is about a man that wakes up lost with no memory how to get home. At first he think it's just a hallucination due to him having a fever, but eventually he finds a grave, which is his own, and the ruins of Carcosa. He was lost in time the whole story:

Rust definitely ain't the killer....it's basically impossible at this point in the story without some serious plot gymnastics. We see him find the wooden triangles in the school, there's no reason to show us the audience that if he's responsible for any part of the murders.

So these 5 episodes are better than all 62 episodes of "BB" and all 30 episodes of "Game of Thrones"? :heh:

I swear to god if you cats don't knock this shyt off. Every time we get a new half way decent show people make wild claims about how it's the GOAT after a handful of eps. Every single time like clockwork.

All time after 5 eps....:comeon:

I've never felt as stimulated watching any episode of breaking bad as i felt watching nearly every episode of this iteration of true detective...

and to be real in the grand scheme of great television.. game of thrones isnt even in the discussion... i cant speak for the levels of enjoyment the average person gets from each show but if thats how were breaking down are listings than walking dead would be number one and that shyt is hot garbage.

I like got for what it is... but it doesnt really hold up to deconstruction... and with the exception of the tyrion/tywin scenes its not like the acting is great... its a fun show to watch... 'to see whats going to happen next'

be real with yourself could you ever see yourself rewatching an ep of got just to break it down... i can guarantee alot of tv heads myself including will be doing that with true detective tomorrow.

the look on rust's face after the meth dealer dude said he had a shadow over him... man too good.

also marty isnt stupid... not in the slightest... he put in all that work to find where ledue was doing business... hes just falling off... a fact of life.

but straight up down.. dont talk to me about breaking bad, game of thrones... all that shyt... if u aint sayin true detective is the best show on tv... you probably have an iq under 100.

:whoa: come down off the ledge brehzinksi

I love true detectives, and this season is already a GOAT season…but I'm liable to kill a Lannister fan in real life if I have to :violent:

maybe the way i put it just inflammatory for no reason... i was really just excited about the show... but i believe what i said...

i didnt say mad men, sopranos or the wire purposely because i put those 3 shows at the top of my list... breaking bad just was never my cup of tea... it reached its zenith in those last couple episodes before the finale... and man was it good... but lets not forget the filler... it just wasnt thought provoking like true detective... and the fact that its only going to be one season is gonna do alot for replay value... no need to water down the product.

but at the end of the day different strokes for different folks... i dont really want to argue why i think the show is better.... but in my mind its really an easy statement to make.

I will say this though, let's all :clap::clap::clap::clap: Woody for this episode of True Detectives.

He shined this episode and Rust didn't steal it again lol. This was the first episode where I said, ":patrice: I couldn't see anyone else playing the father role. He's a perfect Marty."

Like I'm just sitting back, and thinking about his previous films. Is he even acting right now? I feel like aside from when he has to become a lunatic, all of his scenes are just smooth. They just fit. He fits. It might not blow you away, but when he smacked the fukk out of his daughter, I bet you were like "damn right Marty…fukk that grounding shyt….whoop that ass!" I bet you when he talked about pressing charges, and his daughter said, "you can't do that," you immediately went," :whoa::whoa::whoa: bytch don't tempt that man! You have no idea what yo father is capable of when he pulls that badge:birdman:"

Also :laff: at Woody losing another woman in his life like in "White Men Can't Jump." The fukk breh, you shouldn't have played that last game:sadcam:
