i thought 3rd was only for comics/reading materials since there's only two dimensions on a strip and the third is with the reader whereas in film/plays there's already three walls/dimensions and the fourth is when you're addressing the watcher/audience

The "4th wall" refers to anything that directly interacts with the audience, doesn't matter if it's TV, comics or movies.

The earliest reference to the 4th wall is 19th century theater. The invisible "wall" facing the audience would be considered the 4th wall to the room on the set.

Watched the ending again and maybe I've been on The Coli for too long but I laugh out loud when Rust was using the bushes to help him escape... all this time I thought the bushes was the place to throw broken dreams and condoms at but Rust used the bushes to help him escape and achieve his goal.

Also, I mentioned this before but a character looks into the camera in every single episode. It's kind of weird. On a lesser show I'd assume it's just some amateur shyt, but it seems intentional:

I think the governor is on it or may be the killer himself. With the whole emphasis of Cohle shytting on Christianity and the governor threatening to replace them with an Anti-Christian investigation squad, it sets up nicely.

i think rust and marty, more so rust, know they didnt get the right guy, or at least everyone involved. i say that only cuz at the end of episode 1 when he says how could it be the guy if they caught em in 95 and goes

rust: "how indeed.."

cops: "i figured you would be the one to know"

rust: "then start asking the right fukking questions"

pretty much saying theres more to the story than what was documented and maybe hoping these new cops would catch on but it seems they think hes the one who did the murder judging by the preview for next week.

A-fukkING-MEN! Cats really have been abused for the last two decades where figuring out some cheap twist carries precedence over acting, cinematography and writing.
I honestly don't give a fukk who the killer is. The journey from 1995 to present day is much more compelling than a run of the mill whodunit

I feel you breh. I'd be surprised if we don't find out who the killer(s) are, I'm just saying I'm far more interested in Rust and Martin's interaction and growth. I don't even remember the name of the dead chick that had the antlers on her head or the present day dead chick

If LeDoux is the killer I'm cool with that I just want to see how we get to that conclusion and how we get to the present day.
