Great line that I'm going to start using in life, "It's not my business so I don't care." (or something to that effect)
Again, because Rust doesn't believe in the fake, he's able to play the game 2 steps ahead of everyone else. We all know, we all see that Marty's wife would give it up to Rust. Rust understand this too. She's an emotionally scarred woman. She wants…she needs someone to confide in. If Rust keeps playing this middle man role, its going to get real uncomfortable. Marty's wife is going to fall in love with the time they spend. She'll start looking forward to their talks. And once that happens, its ovaaaaaaaa
It does seem like she would give it up to Rust but Marty still seems to respect him. If he did hit I don't think he would have good things to say about him unless he doesn't know. Also, they seem to have Cohle in mind for the new murder but Marty comes off more of the murdering type to me. He seems to want to control women.
I'm still dying at the bearded dude getting some distance away from Rust only to run back like ", they everywhere", only to get punched in his face.
Was watching Rust's covering and hostage taking skills like
at Rust being involved in some shyt that led to a shootout between cops and the tenants of a housing project
breh.. i was playing catch up during this 2 week td hiatus. started watching season 3. just pressed stop during ep2 of season 3. i have no desire to go back to that crap.....

Fam dude knew he would have to pull some shyt to get back with iron crusaders, this dude been 3 steps ahead of everybody. dude said he knew projects, prolly mapped out mad contigency plans for when shyt hit the fan ... didn't Rust mention Mogadishu.?? when did that black hawk down shyt happen?
Aiight honest question though….did Rust and Marty actually tell the interviewers about the shootout? The reason I ask, is because in one scene, the interviewer ask Marty, "You didn't think it's weird that he took a leave of absence when you found a suspect." But we know the leave of absence was a smokescreen to allow Rust to go undercover.
