True Detective Season 1 (NO SPOILERS)

Yeah, this show was looking like it was getting ready to have a GOAT season after episodes 4 and 5, but it kind of fizzled out like most mystery shows do.

I put this in that Twin Peaks/Lost tier where it had a fascinating journey but had a weak or unsatisfying conclusion overall.

What a great finale to a GOAT first season...

Remus with his 30 minutes of total screen time was...

That Carcosa shyt was demonic as fukk yet in a weird way somewhat beautiful...

I loved how Rusts character came around full circle...When he was talking about being close to his daughter in that coma and not wanting to wake up in tears that shyt kind of got to me...MM absolutely killed that scene and his role on this show...He is hands down the emmy winner in my eyes...I also got to my man woody...Both of these gentleman are a big reason for why this show worked...This formula has been done before but not on this level...The acting,script and cinematography were spectacular...

Good episode, I was shook as fukk.

And for some reason I wanted to cry at the end but I fought it.

I do feel a somewhat empty feeling because there was no twist and the plot was straight forward but this was high quality tv.

So The big Tutlles would journey to Errol's crib aka Carcosa for their sacrifices? The tape of Reanne is at Errol's spot?


and who EXACTLY was the yellow king? an abstract idea? Papa Tuttle? Errol?

I think it was the grandfather, cause Errol said to his sister while he was fingering her "talk about how grandpa took you in the field" then it passed to the pops who was a cop and finally to the son. All the members of the family raped kids, Errol was just the one killing them alongside his cousin ladeux and that other guy. Then the rest of the family covered it up alongside the rapes. Don't forget at least one childriss is still a cop, and they was still catching bodies trying to cover shyt up as late as 2004.

AlSo the reverend Tuttle likely committed suicide out of fear that tape and those pictures would get leaked.

Nothing is good enough for half of these guys.

It's been said a few times, but I gotta reiterate how great the set design for Carcosa was. Incredibly detailed and creepy. That entire chase sequence was off the charts.

There is a deleted scene from when they stormed ledeux compound and ladeux called Rust little priest then. The fact Errol calls him that same exact thing to me meant the whole family was aware of rust investigation into Errol early and they all recognized the detectives.

That likely was the same reason Ladeux's buddy took such a disliken to Rust when he met him then when Rust was undercover. The whole thing about seeing a demon in his eyes and wanting to beat his face to a pulp was him recognizing Rust as a cop and knowing he just been made.....

This shows has layers man.
