This sh1t destroyed Breaking bad. This season was better than any season of BB. Especially that stupid overrated last season.
:whoa::whoa::whoa: that last season of BB was classic. Also BB high point was Walt Vs Pollo, Walt losing his shyt when he found out Skylar gave all that money they needed to escape to Ted is on par with Rust breaking down in the end here.

Anyhow TD is classic too, part of me wants them to put TD in the miniseries category so both shows can get the accolades the deserve.

On the flip when Rust saw that spiral in the sky I was like :ohhh:, I'm still not sure he was just seeing shyt or if he is just attuned to things differently.

Also Marty holding back tears when he was surrounded by his wife and kids was just as :sadcam: as Rust breaking down too. I got to give HBO credit for jumping on this gap in AMC's broadcasting to put this piff out there. This shyt is classic

Now THAT is how you end a season. Good GOD what an episode.

Errol = :lupe: & :demonic: My man played his role (as minimal as it was) to perfection. Dude was creepy as fukk, and just RADIATED evil. When he was painting at the school, you could tell he felt a way when he was watching them girls play. Then the teacher offered him food, and he was semi-normal, then the little boy came over, and he (Errol) looked ready to murder everyone in site. It was almost as if he was offended by their (children) presence. Crazy.

Carcosa was...man...we knew Rust & Marty were some types of crazy, and them wandering into that dude's (family's) own private hell is proof. They did a good job of creating that shyt too. It was fascinating, eerie, creepy, and beautiful all at the same time. Dude calling Rust "Little Priest" had me like :whoa:.

I thought for sure my man was gonna die, but he was strong, and Marty had his back, then Rust had Marty's back. All that bad blood between them was dust in the wind at that moment. Rust pulling that trigger, and Marty holding him as he bled out had me like :to: That's my detective duo. :to: Man, they went through some shyt, but they ended up blood brothers. Literally. Props to 'em.

Matthew McConaughey is on some other shyt right now man. :whew: His performance in the last 15 minutes alone showed why he's unfukkwittable at this point in time. He should be guaranteed an Emmy for his performance this season. Woody for sure did his thing too, but he kinda got a raw deal being stuck with what MM did. What a hell of a duo those 2 made.:wow:

Whoever's brought on for Season 2 has their work cut out for them.

Best acting by Matthew in the last 5 years of tv and movies , and to think suicide king said that John Goodman was the best actor. At the Emmy awards there will be a war between BB and TD .

No there wont.. its running as a "miniseries" just like american horror story does.. so they wont be directly competing at all.

Yeah I'm staying away from this thread next year, as soon as someone pointed out that the lawnmower man was Remus from Boardwalk I knew he was the killer.

Nope. That trash episode 7 automatically disqualifies it as being on that level :camby:

To be honest the last couple episodes were well acted, well made typical Hollywood detective TV.

Thats not to say this wasnt a great show and I liked the finale too, their chasing Billys son was very intense and the acting/hospital moments were great too. With that said, Rust was kind of reduced to a stoic badass cop in the last couple episodes and the show didnt quite feel the same as it did early on. Its not the GOAT season of TV like I thought it might be headed for after episode 4.

With that out of the way, props to McConaughey, Woody, and tge writer for a great season of TV

Agreed. This shyt the past two episodes played out like Scooby Doo, but the acting and writing made it something special. The same formula has been done over and over and over for so long that this was a much needed break from that monotony you'd be accustomed to in another cop show.

When Rust essentially broke down that he had a near death experience and felt the energy of his dad and daughter it was a cool moment.

Overall a great show though

This is very much how I felt on the show

After episode 4, I thought it may be entering some echelon of TV we have never seen.
Episode 5 was good, but 6 & 7 it started feeling like a different show.

I thought the finale was great though. Rust coming full circle and them getting their killer was full closure.

Great season of TV - excited to see where they go with season 2

So The big Tutlles would journey to Errol's crib aka Carcosa for their sacrifices? The tape of Reanne is at Errol's spot?

and who EXACTLY was the yellow king? an abstract idea? Papa Tuttle? Errol?

Just finished. I was unfulfilled. It wasn't bad or anything but there was nothing truly amazing behind the yellow king. Just some intelligent guy with deep seeded issues. Carcoza was just a makeshift maze full of sticks and bodies. Hardly a king and hardly a kings court.
