Just saw it. I was wondering because I didn't remember if he was alive, only the "bathe" line her mother said.
I did pick up something in the beginning though. Cohle asks the detectives if Lange's "school closing in 92 meant anything to them?" and they didn't answer at all. I don't remember if they ever explicitly bring up the Light of Way.
