You can have a gun and get shot before it you get to shoot it. But it still doesn't matter, doesn't give him license to shoot in a crowd. They trying to get Troy Ave to snitch, that's it.

Yea very true, you can get shot before bringing yours out but if there isn't any video or proof of this, a jury seeing a black male who is also a rapper who raps about shooting people and other wild shyt, will think Troy either had the gun on him (which doesn't make sense, but a jury doesn't care) or will say he went outside to retrieve one.

plus, once you leave the area of an altercation, you can't come back around and claim "self-defense" the D.A. will eat your ass for lunch on the stand and ask "If you feared for your life, why did you re-enter the establishment seemingly in pursuit of the individual(s) you claimed put your life in danger?"

No disrespect, but I've done 4 years, this is definitely get yourself locked up 101. :mjlol:

For one, you don't tell the police ANYTHING, unless you know what you're doing and know how to appear uninvolved or not knowledgeable to the police, without incriminating yourself or saying too much.

The key is, in the heat of the moment, if you haven't already planned it and right it out long term (defense, lawyer fees on deck, etc) you probably fukked. In this situation, the dead homie story is cool, but that's for your lawyer to hear and tweak, not the cops.

It won't work out in your favor incriminating yourself, no matter how innocent you make it sound. The law is about that black and white. Did you violate this shooting/weapons statute and can they prove it beyond a reasonable doubt? Now ask yourself before trial, did what you say or not say to cops help or hurt your defense case in the long run?

I ain't make it a whole year on the run by being a smart dumb nikka. Smarten up, Nas. :troll:

not bigging you up for being locked up, but props on dropping knowledge. nikkas think movies be believable, nikkas better start watching First 48, they be having dude's snitching on themselves like it's a sport.

Side note: one episode they had a dude in the interrogation room over a murder they thought he'd committed. asked him, "Do you know <mike>?" this dumb ass nikka says "Yea! I know <Mike> I shot his Brother <Bill> last year." :mjlol::mjlol::mjlol::mjlol: I can't make this shyt up breh.

Troy Ave lived what he rapped. He must have snapped. Pulled out a gun in a MANHATTAN (:damn:) club and shot back with no regards to cameras or eye witnesses. How does self-defense work in NY??? :damn:

There is none. Only way self defense works is if a nikka points a gun at you. You fight him take his gun and shoot him. There is a story in the Bronx this week some burglar tried to rob a man at his home. The homeowner fought the dude and took his gun and shot him. He is gonna get off. But Troy Ave nah. He will get a weapons charge and reckless endangerment with a fire arm.

I'm not defending T.I. but I do always ask the following...

Where in the court documents does it show T.I. working in cooperation with the D.A.'s office or the prosecutors? if you can't show paper work saying he was a cooperating defendant then he didn't snitch.

do yall even fully understand or know what snitching is? I think you don't.

I've seen his docket report and while there's nothing like a motion for downward departure, which sometimes appears in the docket of cooperating defendants, there are several sealed motions right before his sentencing, which could very well contain motion for Rule 35 or 5k1, which are the downward departures based upon cooperation. I really don't know, but I'd learn towards those sealed motions containing something like that. If he released his PSR (Pre Sentence Report) it would also fully clear or fully incriminate him.

Words from an actual criminal attorney, Ken Montgomery

the last tweet is what is the bread-winner.

him being a black male, and a rapper is what's going to work against Troy's favor.

I still think the video of him shooting is what's going to fukk him over but just wait until the jury pulls up YouTube videos and IG/Tweeter postings, they will crucify Troy if he doesn't get the right legal team.
