What a rough night. I went through some high ass water and hit a curb and fukked up my tire. Changed the tire and then had to find a way home since it seemed like every road leading to my house was flooded. I eventually got home and it took 2 hours for a trip that's normally 20 minutes.

Sounds like you haven't been outside. I'm in South houston and only 1 out of 4 paths to my house isn't flooded and that's after only 4 hours of rain. It's only going to get worse since it's 100% rain for the next 3 days.

Gas stations are open and there haven't been any long term losses of power. Massive flooding is not something that is alien to Houston.

That skinny rain band parked over the city saved their asses. It's been active since this afternoon slowly moving in from the west. It was over the Sealy area for hours, crept through my area around 1900-1930 and when I woke at about 2300 it had stalled over Hobby Airport/Gulf Freeway. I know Broadway is a fukking river right now.

Rain lifting out of the southwest moving north. Unfortunately that northerly flow is bringing in rain from the Gulf and I'm seeing the Hobby Airport area getting slammed again and they are already underwater. Heavy rain band from the west moving into Sealy. Given how slow these move it may not hit my area until close to 0600.
