Town and country ain't happening lol, that property is waaaay too valuable

I'd be surprised to see Greenpoint get gentrified in the near future
You never know breh...
Ain't nothing guaranteed and white folks have been played before..
Nobody or zip code is immune under this government...
Exhibit A. How that young Asian couple bought a exclusive street in SF because people didn't know what the deal was..
It's all types of loopholes in this piece..
I'm no tinfoil hat wearing person, but I really believe something was more sinister behind the levees being released.
The flooding was going to be bad anyway and still catastrophic, so why release them at 12am when they said 2am..
Anybody can get this work and a lot of people are about to get that wake up call.
And Greenspoint is prime real estate. If you can't see them making that part of the city "beautiful"..
That's the "premier" airport hub and they would love to build around that joint and have it all "sterile" for future events and living.
Closing the mall (if they find a buyer) is the first step to gentrification..:yeshrug:

Nah I can see Greenpoint getting gentrified, just not in the best future

They haven't even really made progress gentrifying 5th Ward yet

The only area they've really fully taken over is 4th Ward (midtown)

Touche...
But this is the best time under the guise of "disaster relief" and the Trump Administration for big corporations to come down and swoop on the city like a Vulture...
Who is really going to ask the motives behind "help" when people have lost everything and are not in the clear mind...
This is the perfect storm(no pun intended) for corporate greed.
People just want normalcy and their life as they knew it back..
It will be a lot of scheming muthafukkas outchea that don't look like the "looters" they are portraying through the media..

Maybe I'm mistake, correct me if I'm wrong but isn't Houston spread out with tons of suburban type single family households/neighborhoods plus on top of that they have no zoning restrictions? I get an inner city that's close to a downtown, metro stops, sporting venues, restaurants, theaters, etc. But how do you gentrify sprawl?

Some people man :snoop:

How you donate 1 shoe? Not one pair, one shoe?

I know people lost everything, but that don't mean just give them some terrible bullshyt that you would have thrown away

You can't be giving people clothes with holes and bleach stains. Fukk they supposed to do with that?

Our VP had to send out an email telling people to wash the clothes before they donate them. She's a white lady so she tried to make it as proper and PC as possible which made it even more hilarious. Eventually she asked for volunteers to help her wash some of the clothes over the weekend. :mjlol:

Don't fucc with Red Cross breh.

Use SHAPE, JJ Watts fund or Mayor Turner's fund.

I've heard good things about Samaritans purse as well.
100% of donations to the LDS charities site go to aid.

OUR FUNDING:

  • Comes from normal, everyday people who are members of our Church and others, not from government grants or large corporate donations.
  • Supports only humanitarian work—100 percent of the funds go toward project expenses.
  • Doesn't have to cover overhead costs, as they are paid fully by our Church.
