No doubt it will be rebuilt. This is Texas man. There's a state pride here that is instilled in you in kindergarten that you can't find anywhere else in the country. Especially in SE Texas, people are salt of the earth. I expect there to be a communal effort to get things right with minimal looting, minimal political bureaucracy.

There is also a Mexican grocery store on 34th open. The wait at Kroger on Ella is over an hour to even get it. I was I've for maybe 15-20 min. to get in Randall's. The Walgreens on magnum and 34th is open but a line. If I see anything else while I'm out I'll update.

People from Cali are moving out here in droves. That's why housing prices have shot up.

In terms of property I'd say this is worse than Katrina

What made Katrina the tragedy it was was the levees breaking and the US govt ignoring them for 4 days

It's a Kroger's open on 249 & Antoine but the lines are all the way outside.
