Tried my PS4 Pro on my family’s 4K UHD tv and wasn’t that impressed

HDR MODE?
Will it pop up like how it does for super sampling mode

No idea on the super sampling part, but I imagine so. If you have HDR content and are playing it without HDR being enabled on the TV, you're missing out on arguably more than going from 1080 to 4k. You should get a HDR notification on the screen every time it detects and switches to HDR content.

if ur playing a 1080p game then yes

if u want a 4k signal you'll need a hdmi cable capable of doing that output

:beli: like I said the LATEST 5 dollar cable from amazon does 4k....nicca i think I was the FIRST on the coli with a 4K tv breh...:stopitslime: I was. rocking 4K when broke boys were trying to say there isn’t a difference between 1080p.

How are you able to tell the difference?
They’re both the same :picard:

If the cable looks old, there's a chance it's not a high speed version. Did you check to see if deep color is enabled? Is the playstation plugged directly into the tv or a receiver?

I don’t think I had the deep color option on
And I didn’t use the PS4 Pro HDMI
I’m gonna have to try it again when my mom leaves

Any old HDMI cable from Amazon for like 10 bucks will work. You don't need no 60 dollar HDMI cable.

Also, the content matters too breh. It's not the system alone that just makes everything look good. You have to try a game that's really beneficial. Try out TLOU Remastered. It has a 4K option or a 1800P/60fps option which I'm sure will look nice.

I know all about expensive cables from the audiophile scene. When you’re going digital to digital, cables don’t really matter (just get that hdmi 2.0).

Digital to analog though, those cables matter. Some audiophiles spend over $1K for a single set of headphone cables. Some guy at my work blew $4K on cables for his 2.1 setup :mindblown:

HDMI options aren’t where you will see the difference.
You see the difference in non Pro games as a smoother frame rate (generally)
You see the different in Pro optimized games as higher graphics settings (higher res, textures, frame rate, etc)
All you need is HDMI 1.4 for 4K signaling.
