Trevor looks like he's young enough to do this job for at least 30 years before retirement

Trevor exceeded all my expectations.
That opening monologue was perfect, adressed everyones fears and really put the audience at ease.
He seemed nervous but he seemed well suited to the show. This was still the daily show.
Then the meta humour with the segment with jordan was brilliant.
Then the new correspondent roy wood jr had me in tears.
"What do you think about us finding water on mars? How do you feel about that?"
"I can tell you i dont give a shyt"
"To mars! What you think cuz you gotta show white people gon let you go! Youve had it for 1 commercial break white people havent decided they like you yet"
"Brotha cant catch a cab you think im going to mars!"

He's gotten better each night (and the first night was good but with apparent nervous energy at points). His interview with Christie was strong, they riffed early with a nice improvised response to Christie on the no lying tip. He addressed Christie's plan for an issue that everyone has been talking about and brought the numbers to him but didn't linger on one topic. He hit him again when Christie played the "don't trust the government card" and hit him with "who is the government? I'm not clear, isn't that you?" which was great. He didn't hold Christie's feet to the fire like Stewart would if he didn't like a response, but he called him out and then moved on which allowed the interview to touch on multiple topics and fit plenty of jokes. I could see some liberals complaining that he took it easy, just because people are pretty extreme, but I think that interview was great and promising for what this show will be moving forward (that police bit in the beginning was great too).
