I didn't see his viewpoint as insulting or corny. I found it hilarious and seeming like something that some (not all) Africans may think/feel like. Ultimately, his POV was pretty interesting to me. It seemed fairly from a source of intellect and humor at the same time. And his vernaculars/dialects/etc. are spot on and amazing.

His other stuff was a lot better imo. The impersonation was generic and played, but it fit well with him taking in the culture through television likenesses (busting out the Denzel laugh and ish). I just thought it was a weaker bit compared to a lot of his other stuff, though the kicker where Americans just assume he's a Puerto Rican kinda bodied me.
