Based on his comedy, I thought the Daily Show would take more of an international outlook. But it just seem to be more of the same.
It still made no sense to me why Stewart left right before the election.
iirc jon wanted to give trevor a running start like he had. jon took over right before the 2000 election season and that entire clusterfukk helped blow the show up big
people clamoring for jon to come back must've forgotten how he was before he left. not even telling jokes anymore just yelling and screaming. dude is not funny anymore
honestly tho no host is gonna bring that show back to its heights. 2000 election controversy and the war on terror back to back was fukkery overload. plus tough crowd with colin quinn running back to back... comedy central was really running the game at the time
imo the best late night comedy news show ever was the colbert report but in this political climate nobody can do a show like that again
