Based on his comedy, I thought the Daily Show would take more of an international outlook. But it just seem to be more of the same.

It still made no sense to me why Stewart left right before the election.

Same reason why MJ left in 94

Dude was just tired…. He been doing that shyt doing that shyt for years

I wanted him to win with that show. But being extremely honest I knew he could never truly fill those shoes. It was an "alternative institution" and he just wasn't it. Show was over when the og host stepped down. And Comedy Central over shot their load, thinking that the show was more than it was. Like doing Chapelle show without "Chapelle" Only Jon Stewart works for that show.

Stewart and Colbert really created something special.

But I will give it to Jon Stewart, he got a lot of young people who couldn’t relate to the political pundits or watch Sunday morning news programming focused on politics and what really matters. I was a kid and I had to sneak and watch Comedy Central at 11pm to watch him, and I was way too young to give a damn about politics. I just knew he was more important than late night cartoons lol
Colbert is done!
I used to watch the Colbert Report religiously
Now all he talks about is Trump Trump Trump Trump.
Colbert's talk show has become the everyday Trump channel.
Every day trump, Mar a lago, insurrection, trump this trump that.
How could people digest so much trump news I don't get it

For as much shyt as I give Noah for not being funny if you go back and watch Stewart, he wasn't much better. It was cool when I was a kid but The Daily Show has aged terribly even the og stuff. Really bottom shelf shyt, Colbert was much funnier and smarter, I'd even put last week tonight above og daily show and that show isn't that funny. :francis:

Blasphemy.

Trevor was cool as host, but Standup is where he truly shines.

He was good at pointing out absurdity, but he lacked genuine anger at the absurdities which makes sense given that he wasn’t raised here.

I view Trevor Noah and John Oliver the same. I think they speak about interesting and important subjects. But I don't find them funny.

Every time I watch Last Week Tonight or The Daily Show, I wish they would leave their comedy out of the segment they're doing.

Jon Stewart, while corny in a lot of ways, was funnier to me. Or at least, I didn't feel like his attempts at humor were cringey or took away from the story he was covering.
