What do you even do with Lawrence at this point?
He’s not going to take this team to a SB clearly. I’m not even sure they can make the playoffs with him. Can’t trade him because his dead cap will blow up the team.
The only option is….
1. Look at replacing him with a cheaper alternative in the draft. But then you have a 50+ Mil QB on the bench.
2. Bring in a completely new staff to redeem him, but now he’s learning a new system and that probably will fail.

You can make the playoffs with Lawrence, bad teams and bad QBs get in every year.
Jags need to rethink the idea success is centered around him throwing the ball.
Focus on the defense, can't have games where you give up TDs every drive. Then put him in an easier offense where he's not the focus.
I don't expect a SB from that but it's the best they can do for now. If he completely crashes out, then the Jags should have the draft capital to try again & and better foundation for the next guy.
Bad QBs get in the playoffs but they are generally on cheap contracts that allows the team to stack talent in other positions to compensate for the bad QB play.
Having a bad QB on a monster contract is a different animal. It’s expected that those expensive QBs offset eating up cap space by carrying the team. When that expensive QB is hindering the team, how can the front office over come that?
It’s not easy.
