Even yesterday, it was ran maybe 5 or 6 times throughout the game (and it shouldnt have been ran at all after he re-aggravated his knee injury in the first quarter, but they still ran it about 4 more times.
)You have no idea what you talking about. The stretch run plays? Thats a Shanny staple. The zone blocking? Shanny staple. Screens? Shanny staple. Quick slants? Shanny staple. Zone runs? Shanny staple.
75% of the offense is based off the West Coast offense. Most of the plays are ran that way. To the simple types (talking about you) who see RG3 line up in the pistol formation, and think "well dey in dat pistol so diz iz dffrent" it may confuse you, but the offense is primarily the same as to what we have been running the last 3 years. The read-option is the new wrinkle, but its not even ran as much as you all think.
that's why you gotta keep an even keel.
I actually think RGIII does so pretty well. Dont get too high or playful with the media and it wont send you crashing down so hard.
