Just went and saw this today. Was better than I had expected. Didn't realize it was a bomb at the box office though. As a person that loved the 80s cartoon. And watches the original animated movie basically yearly. I really liked how this told their story and established the origins of what we would see. Also liked seeing the cameos of various autobots as miners. Liked how the high guard was introduced and what gave way to the decepticons. This story deserves to be played out. But, with it being a dud, I can see the studio deading it which is a shame. Jon Hamm was having so much fun in this.
