that's the thing...it really isn't aimed at that crowd...the trailers fukked up by trying to frame it that way.
the story some good ol TF shyt...and the fights are actually good.
There's a few goofy parts...trailer shows a good amount of them.
Rest of the flick is story related and good arcs for the characters

The first act beats you over the head too much with "We're best friends! Aren't we best friends! I'm so glad we're best friends! 
" but the second and third acts were really strong.
I've followed the various Transformers shows off and on over the years, and this movie explained things that for years I never understood, like
I'd say this is not only by far the best Transformers movie I've seen (I never saw Bumblebee), but it's also one of the better prequels in recent memory.

why does Starscream always betray Megatron in every Transformers show. Because Megatron beat his ass and stole his whole crew from him 
I'd say this is not only by far the best Transformers movie I've seen (I never saw Bumblebee), but it's also one of the better prequels in recent memory.
I hope it does well enough for more...but whoever cut the trailers gotta get fired ...at least that initial trailer.

This movie is very good. I never saw a trailer so I didn’t know what to expect when my son wanted to see it. Great fight scenes and it’s a nice from scratch origin story if that’s what they were going for. Like if you had never seen any Transformers movie or series, this would get you onto speed. Keegan Michael Key’s character was funny as shyt.
the origin Megatron and Optimus Prime falling out

I'm not really the target audience. Felt like I could've waited for streaming like that TMNT movie. the action was good tho. I liked that it was an origin story for newcomers to jump in.
I never watched any of the bay movies or the cartoons. I did watch the last live action one. so what are we supposed to watch next to understand/follow the story?

Yea, I was watching the Double Toasted review and they made it seem like this movie ain’t what it was marketed as and it takes a turn

Looks like the entire first two pages were wrong as hell after the trailer dropped

Good movie but overhyped by too many people.
Negative: took a while to build. Yeah once it was "on" it finished great.
Humor: hardly anybody was laughing in my theatre. From kids to adults. They tried hard but failed alot.
Brian Tyree: look, I get he can't help the way he talks. But that sassyness in his voice threw me off. He's a dope actor but when he was being negative all I heard was a feminine Transformer.
Positive:
Bumblebee. I like this take on him and my Michigan brotha did good job acting.
Fighting: sure, it's obvious there was alot inspiration from other films (i.e. Marvel) but it was cool.
Wasn't kiddie- so glad the trailer didn't reflect the movie
All in all, this was good. But this aint better then the 1st Transformers movie. And not touching the original cartoon movie.
