Collateral for me, but its very close. Two of my all-time top 20 movies.

Collateral went very philosophical and Training Day shows you a very real world glimpse of how things operate.

I think the main two actors in both movies were phenomenal.

Sounds crazy, but what puts Collateral over the edge for me is Jada Pinkett's character. Even Cruise's character makes note of it: "If you get through this, you should call her".

Like man, resolution and a great life are right there, but not without working for it and pushing past comfort zones. I also loved how both characters were very shades of gray and learned a lot from one another, to the point that they actually grew mutual respect for one another.

tom cruise's acting is terrible... just his mannerisms and face expressions are comical

wtf.. so Jamie just gonna pick this bytch up at 3pm broad daylight and drive her round LA all night and drop her off at the office at night time? 6+hrs easily.. dumb shyt

just the fakeness of the shyt too:mjlol:

the music in some of the scenes is pure ass... I was watching this and thought "damn this gotta be like a 13% on rotten tomatoes"

shyt had 86% :dead:

The story in Training Day was meh, but the acting was great.

Collateral has meh acting ,but the story was better.

Going with Collateral since its far more cathartic. Lonzo was just plain dumb, Vincent was just plain ol tired. I prefer the tired old war vet/assassin who decides his last mission is the one wherein his humanity is restored for a second via any means....

The professional beats both for me. The story is great, the acting even better.

While you could swap out Jamie, Jada and Tom it would still be a great movie...honestly, if you swapped some actors it would be even better than it is; Brad Pitt for instance as Vincent. It's more layered than Training Day.

If Denzel wasn't in Training Day it wouldn't be regarded as well.

But that's me, I prefer a well written story as well as proper direction above everything. It allows mediocre performances to be overlooked.

It was nice to see Cruise as a bad guy. I wish more actors took a heel turn on occasion...I'm looking at you Will.

There was this movie called Boleyn Girl with Natalie Portman and Scarlett Johansson as sisters. Natalie Portman just becomes more of a heel throughout..especially how slimy she got to try to save herself in the end. Lol.
