I can’t believe folks thought a movie with the title “magical negroes” in it was gonna be anything but embarrassing to black folks.

Honestly I’m somewhat surprised this was critically panned. I thought this was gonna be a movie critics ate up while everyone else hated it. I’m going to watch some reviews.
Edit/After watching some reviews it seems this was a bit of a bait and switch. I think some of us picked up on this turning into a romantic comedy out of nowhere and the lead be weak.

The audaciously titled satire already had a weird trailer before premiering at Sundance to terrible reviews — 28% on Rotten Tomatoes . The audience scores weren’t any better.
