It's dumb shyt and I honestly have no clue why refs allow it. If the offensive player creates the contact then it should be a no-call, not a foul. What's the point of calling fouls on plays where the offensive player TRIES to run into a defender?
Trae doesn't create the contact, he plays on peoples momentum coming towards him.

Trae doesn't create the contact, he changes speeds so the defender runs into him.

The Truth
Kobe used to jump into defenders after a pump fake all the time.
Not just Kobe

I literally just watched Demar Derozan do that shyt against Harrell in the Laker vs. Spurs game that came on last night.

Literally every superstar does it now... Wade was flopping all over when Nash was in the league and he never said shyt

Hes said on multiple occasions that Nash was his favorite player growing up

And as for this thread it’s all good, we see them on Friday again for the rematch

Yes, he is.

Anyone who shoots step back threes and draws fouls isn’t a disciple of Harden. :snoop:

Im sayin tho. I know that's what he says. But who does he play like? Nash or Steph? Plus when you add to the fact that he never acknowledges that Steph never had any influence on his game...that's a lil off. Reminds me of when Kobe used say Magic was his favorite player and his idol. But what did Kobe's game clearly say?

Either way i like the lil nikka he's added stuff to his game Steph still can't get to:yeshrug:

Kobe was a Laker fan and Jordan can, he knew he wasn't going to be 6'9" and wanted to shoot more than pass so he copied Jordan over Magic, he acknowledges Jordan's influence. Does Trae get asked about Steph to brush him off?

He "ran into" him? really? That's what you call "running into" someone? The defender was barely even moving at the point they contacted, he barely touched him.

He "plays on" it. So you admit that he's the one choosing to create contact.

The defender isn't trying to create the contact, Trae is. That's my point. Trae isn't looking for the best way to score, Trae isn't looking for the best way to avoid contact, he's looking for the best way to create contact and impede his OWN ability to score so that he can get to the foul line. That's why it's bullshyt.

Nash ain’t his idol. He’s a Steph stan with a touch of Harden
He said it himself:

Trae "Nash was my favourite player growing up. I loved watching him. He has been my idol since I started playing basketball."
Steph doesn't con the ref like this. If anything, he doesn't get enough calls.

Bu-bu-but Nash ain't Trae's idol
Bu-bu-but I know Trae said that Nash is his idol, but who does he play like?

Not only did this fukk nikka switch up his shyt after being proven wrong that Nash is indeed Trae's idol, but then his dumbass tries to say that he plays like Steph. Trae plays NOTHING like Steph; their styles of play are virtually polar opposite. Trae is a ball-dominant guard who hasn't shown any ability to play off-the-ball, which is Steph's bread and butter (in fact, he's equally adept with the ball in his hands and without it). And then to top it all off, the muh'fukka said Trae's added elements to his game that Steph doesn't have.

This is what happens when you don't know what the fukk you're talking about. Just all around embarrassing posting.

I don't know which specific play you are referencing. I'm a Hawks fan so I see him play just about every game and what he usually does is if he gets past you and you are on his hip tight he will slow his dribble, once he feels you on top of him he then goes up for the shot. The defenders momentum carries him into Trae so it's called a foul. It's the same thing Harden, CP3, and other shifty guards do.

He isn't initiating the contact unless you are of the belief that you should only dribble at one speed.

That’s on the defender once Trae felt his hand on his hip. Trae sold the contact
