There may, have been some Christians there, and if so, they were mostly foreign merchants, and with no Church, though they still don't predate the Christians in Europe. The problem is we have literally no historical record of that. The only historical record we have, including in Ethiopia itself, is of the adoption of Christianity in 330AD.

What fact? There is literally no evidence of a Christian Church in Ethiopia before the 300s. The Church was established because the King was converted by the Greek Frumentius, not through any existing flocks. Sorry, but now you're just making things up. Even the Ethiopian sources themselves disagree with you there.

I already gave you the whole picture. You would rather rely on wishful thinking than actual historical record, though, which is understandable. You just can't deal with the fact that some European Catholics converted your ancestors and are going to all kinds of lengths, talking about Christianity on the other side of the continent, to try and avoid that very simple fact.
There were Christians in Ethiopia and an official Church was built later. The government does not legitimize God friend. Sad you see it that way. Movements take a while to seep into the minds of leadership and obviously, the church is financed by the king, not the men talking in the streets about how great the Lord is. Sad you minimize the impact of Early christians in Ethiopia as told by scholars just so you can basically say nothing.

Sorry friend, but I'll take the Ethiopian history over your wishful thinking. Ethiopian Christianity is Greek Christianity. There are no Ethiopians alive right now practicing a form of Christianity that was not Greek in origin.

Obviously Ethiopian christianity differs because they use more books of the Bible than greeks and romans. Still, the basis we all have in commons remains the same. Believe in God believe in Yeshua and theres nothing traditional about homosexual marriage. :myman:

Let's look at an Ethiopian history book by an African author: “The” History of Ethiopia - Saheed A Adejumobi - Google Books

Notice what it says. Frumentius encouraged the Christian merchants to practice openly, but ALSO converted the natives. In other words, the merchants weren't the natives, and the foreign Christian merchants were the only ones practicing before he got there, and they had to practice in secret, because the native Ethiopians weren't down with all that.

Just sounds like friends helping the cause. How in your mind do you think Frumentius knew that those were the only Christians in the nation of Ethiopia? I dont see how you bring those thoughts together. Did he have some kind of omnipotent knowledge about who was talking about that God? Also, he wasnt even there in 1AD. Ethiopians were on the Christian tip, before Frumentius was even BORN!

You made up the 1AD number yourself, friend. It's not in any history book. And what cause was he helping? It's clear from that passage that the only Christians around were foreign merchants, and that they felt they had to keep their faith secret because it was not accepted by the native Ethiopians.

And Frumentius was raised in the royal court, as the article states- he knew the whole country well and what was being practiced and where.

Oh and one more thing- all those "extra books" in the Ethiopian Bible are in Greek, which is also their original language. I wonder why that is? :whew:

Not sure what you're getting at here. Greek philosophy having foreign influences doesn't have any bearing on the fact that that Hellenized Christianity was what the Middle Easterners were practicing.
Really i wanted to drop a few links n let you n mowli go b n f. but FML, I have to do all this.

These stories all piggy backed off of each other. Christianity existed as something that was an addition to the story. If the prophet was raised in the Middle East, then the first additions to the story didn't stem from European ideas. During the first moments after Christ death- influences came from Asia and Africa. It was of course the Greeks and Romanians who institutionalized (and white washed) it.. but many of the Old testament characters and their ancestors were of African decent. So officially Christianity was in Africa during 1 AD in the form of "christian presence" and the sh1t went str8 from Jerusalem to Northern Africa day one of the existence of what we consider Christianity.

Christianity was seen as a form of resistance against the people who you claim started the sh1t. :stopitslime:

Eventually Europeans adopted and conformed Christianity and re-wrote history on basically every idea, concept, and movement on Earth.. but the truth is Jesus even lived and Visited Africa. He hung with and chilled with people who historians believe to be African. His disciples and their families had family trees with roots in Africa and some of them even visited Africa. These middle Easterners had close ties with Africa even before the time of Jesus and the religion was not started by European White men. And FYI the first official Church was started in Jerusalem. Some of the apostles of Christ were African. To even bring up legalization is to conform to an idea that white governments have to sanction something for it to exist.

The word of christ spread to places like Ethiopia before catholics bumrushed friends with their brand friend. Be wiser and less troll like. It will make you a better person. Thank you for reading all of this post. :blessed:

yeah because Ethopia is close Rome.

I am insulted that you think that Ethiopia represents the whole of Africa. I guess because black people come from Africa that they would all know each other.

Also because of there proxity why wouldn't Ethiopians not hear of Christianity? Are you shocked that Egyptians heard of it as well?

No, of course not, but they didn't write the Apocrypha. Those particular books were written in Greek, by Hellenized people. Even the word the Ethiopians use for them, Deuterocanon, is Greek.

Mr.Somebody brought up Ethiopia practicing Christianity like that was suppose to dispel the fact that white people have been spreading Christianity to other places deeper within the continent. I was just pointing out that homosexuality that mowgli accuses white people of spreading goes hand in hand and is prob related to Christianity spreading as well. Mr.Somebody then comes in and points out Ethiopia like i am not familiar with geography and it's closeness to Rome and also Ethiopia has nothing to do with what i said. I guess because he thought because Ethiopians are black that would matter for some reason.

The whites of that time did the same thing that the whites of this time do - generalize. They were calling people from the Sudan, Ethiopians. And during the hellenized period, there was an exchange of ideas.

I really don't know what to make of that time period because Egyptians and people from the Sudan were known as Ethiopians.

What I do know is that during the time that Jesus was first thought of and spoke about during the ancient Hebrew times... That was being talked about by Africans and a few Asians. They were on the Jesus as a prophet sh1t even before Jesus' mother magically got preg.

Even in West Africa they were speaking of related stories pre Roman Christianity. ... . @Bud Bundy The reason Ethiopia is important is because many important historical events happened there (as far as Christians are concerned) and because confused white people called anyone with dark skin Ethiopians - and by default doing their usual of messing up of history. NTM historians say Ethiopia predates the most talked about time in Africa--- pharaonic Egypt.
