The run defense was not an issue with the wide nine the past few years. It is the misses on defensive line, ie nit paying Buckner and drafting Kinlaw

We didn't have so many issues tackling either.

Like, Wilks hasn't shown anything to keep his job. This group probably doesn't like/trust him anyways so I don't see how giving him the power to do what he wants/needs makes us any better.

Two weeks? We've been having issues pretty much all season with tackling. That's 100% on coaching, Saleh and DeMeco didn't have these problems.

We were good against the run with the Wide 9 at least 3 of the last 4 season of Saleh/DeMeco.

It was also what they ran (Saleh) or what they had multiple years of experience with (Demeco). Saleh was our DC for 3 or 4 years. Demeco was in the system for 4 or 5 years.

It's his first year and they put shackles on him. It's very difficult for a DC to run a defense where multiple players.......it's a defense of him, but also I'm not saying I completely trust him. I just know his defenses at Carolina and Cleveland were better than this shyt when it was something he knew.

Still doesn't make sense. A new DC doesn't mean you stop tackling. You reach this fast to the NFL no coach should be teaching you how to tackle.

I'd understand it better if it were the scheme and it was blown assignments but that hasn't happened a lot at all. shyt is ridiculous

I seen nfc legends young and Gregory in the field at the same time and was instantly . Seconds later Detroit score a td on the reverse end around.

Go 3-wide 11-19-23, put 25 in the backfield and run the hurry-up. Alternate to 2 rb wishbone and make Detroit stop a balanced run/playaction.
There needs to be more Deebo slants and pitches.
Make DET's defense move laterally into the zone blocks.

Instead it's downhill runs and contested throws where the OL gets run literally over.
