I think so too. Kyle better have a gameplan without involving Deebo tho
You said it during the packers game but giving CMac the Deebo role here and there and letting Eli get some burn seems like the common sense move but I still don’t see Shanny doing it.

I call it the “Blueballs era.” He literally showed up and we literally got better over night. We went from being the laughing stock of the league to being one of the top teams in one year.

But I call it “Blueballs” cause that’s what it was. We got to the NFC Championship twice and the Super Bowl once and we lost all of them by ONE play. I hate reflecting on it sometimes…:to:

Harbaugh both overachieved and underachieved as crazy as that sounds. It's because aside from a half a season with Kaep he and Roman were conservative as hell on offense and to be honest, I think it did cost us games.

You play that many low scoring, tight games, you are always going to be one play away from failure.

We weren't a "great" team in the 2011 season, but we had a great season. The way we played scared I guess because of Alex Smith's limitations but it made me sick. The defense played their hearts out but it was clear we were not beating the Giants because Harbaugh was waiting for them to fukk up and never once tried to get a little creative.

When Kaep became the starter in '12 that was our best chance. The offense was finally rolling. We even went into Foxboro and beat the Patriots. We could have beaten the Ravens in that Super Bowl.

The following year was tough because again I felt we regressed some but we were still in position to beat Seattle on the road and fell just short. Probably a pass interference both the end of that game and definitely the Super Bowl the year before but I don't like to spend too much time on would be flags.

He's an outstanding locker room guy that makes the roster buy into him and more importantly, buy into themselves. He elevates the level of his playmakers and makes average dudes play their ass off.

He's a frustrating playcaller and if he already stood out as conservative more than 10 years ago, I can only imagine how he's gonna look in the current NFL. He has complete trust in his ST unit, which I don't see happening in this new Chargers stint. He was also very stubborn, which added to the frustrations.

He's never had a QB like Herbert though (Kaep had the arm but his dual threat potential was what made him unluck the Niners offense for 2 seasons) and at Michigan showed he could actually adapt and not be so stuck in his ways so I'm very curious what he'll do with that offense.

He's also smart enough to give total reign of the defense to capable coordinators, I expect Joey Bosa and that DLine to have a resurgence.

The tandem of Andy Lee as punter and David Akers as FG kicker were legit one of the big reasons we won so many games that season :pachaha: Kaep showing up and being such a menace on offense was a huge change for the better, even though Alex was playing great football in 2012 before his injury.

Some good info. Seems like a good leader but potentially somewhat conservative.
It's gonna be interesting. If he can get a good run game going, Herbert Is gonna beast. But I do wonder how Harbs coaches with a traditional QB that doesn't have the limitations of an Alex Smith (or all the average dude he had at Michigan).

Just pray that Greg Roman isn't your OC :russ:

Alright. Hear me out on this.

Shanny is playing chess not checkers…:ohhh:

Deebo is…fine.

He’s playing mind games with Detroit.

:jbhmm: This was all planned out.

:manny:

It almost backfired in the Packers game but they pulled through and the plan is still in work! :youngsabo:
