I still don't know what he did to get in the doghouse. It can't be effort unless it was practice because Deebo always gives away when the ball isn't coming to him by not going full speed.
Blocking that is all. My offensive coordinator in college was a Bill Walsh stan and said. I care more if you can block than catch. All WR on Mike or Kyle Shahahans have have to willing and able blockers.
Yeah, I was about to say it was probably run blocking.

And it is hilarious watching the All 22 footage and Deebo constantly jogging in plays he's just a decoy or doing a motion that is just there to make the defense think twice. He even admitted in the presser after the Seattle game when he said he had to pick up the pace on that 50 yard TD once he saw Purdy look his way :mjlol: :mjlol:

I don't blame him because dude is a human wrecking when he has the ball but I do wonder why defenses still haven't been able to take advantage of plays were it's clear Deebo ain't gonna be a target. I guess Kyle's scheming is a pain in the ass to deal with regardless.

Deebo has to always be accounted for. Dude at least stastically has been sleep. Now he has a bunch of yards and touchdowns in short order and that is a product of Aiyuk. Plus the running game plus Purdy's accuracy which is settling the offensive line. This is basically all the years of Bill Walsh and Mike Shanahans offense coming together.

But I mean, after watching some film, it becomes pretty easy to recognize Deebo's patterns when he ain't gonna get the ball. I wonder why defenses can't take advantage of that because if it's clear to me, it damn sure has to be clear for people that actually know about football :heh:

Don't get me wrong we need to draft a tackle with one of our picks. But the line has improved considerably since the Jaguars game. McKivitz is a day late and a dollar short way less these past few weeks.
Yeah he has improved a lot. I'm more concerned about the guard than him now.
This is what I was talking about the running game last Sunday, it really was as bad as I thought it was. From Barrows "minutia minute" on The Athletic:
Running back: Christian McCaffrey 48 snaps, Kyle Juszczyk (fullback) 23, Jordan Mason 6, Deebo Samuel 4
The 49ers, who were largely ambidextrous in their running game last season, have been decidedly left-handed this season. No game illustrated that more than Sunday’s. Here’s the direction of McCaffrey’s 16 carries and how much he gained:
  • Left: Nine carries, 140 yards
  • Right: Five carries, minus-2 yards
  • Middle: Two carries, 7 yards
Mitchell’s knee injury and Tyrion Davis-Price’s demotion to the practice squad meant the 49ers had a new running back lineup for the game: McCaffrey, Mason and Jeremy McNichols, who had six snaps on special teams. Mason scored his third touchdown of the season and caught his second pass, a 6-yarder in the third quarter.

Another interesting tidbit.
Missed tackles continued to be a problem Sunday. Here is PFF’s tally from the game:

This is a cool gimmick he has with this piece, never really read it until today :ehh:

Even if he isn't catching he's blocking and there had been plays where he pretends he isn't getting the ball the runs a route on the back end and gets wide open.

I just know that Jimmy is gone and we're much better as a result. So yes :skip:

Meh….. we went 13-3 with Jimmy though and a SB.

You know the drill, he not gonna get extra praise for doing what’s been done, he has to take the step further.

Per Cam, “we winning in spite”
