Funny thing is, he's doing exactly what he did in college. He was the exact same player but now his route running is elite. I mean elite to the point where I'd put him top 3 in the league. That's why he's always so open, not necessarily the scheme like people like to think. And he always shows his hands at the last possible moment along with meeting the ball over waiting for it like most receivers do. I have been so impressed by him these past 2 seasons before we expected him to be a YAC monster but he isn't that. He doesn't really break tackles, he gets YAC because of how he runs his routes. Perfect compliment to Deebo.

Uncle Herm said it best when the young breh got drafted. He said find a way for Aiyuk to get the ball and he'll make things happen and he's saying this from a DB perspective. Dude came in running a complete route tree as a rookie and also Purdy is the perfect QB because he relies on anticipation as opposed to brute force so the relationship is symbiotic.

Man one thing I respect Big Eared Goof for over many of his predecessors… was about every season the moment we went on a skid…. He makes sure to make a big move

Blocking that is all. My offensive coordinator in college was a Bill Walsh stan and said. I care more if you can block than catch. All WR on Mike or Kyle Shahahans have have to willing and able blockers.
