"Since the bye" - Nice qualification for his clearly shytty season. Our bye was on week 9 so you're saying he's only played good for 4 games?? Also, he hasn't been demolishing people and a DC wouldn't install the "don't get pressure at all" plan if the defensive line was actually functional. Those pressure stats are a nice excuse until you read how they're actually counted. A pressure is being 2 yards from a QB when they pass OR at 1.5 yards of the QB at any point. Do you know how large of a gap that is? If a RB has a 1.5 yard gap to run through we'd all call that incredible blocking, but for pass rushers that counts as doing something post snap. That's like saying visiting San Mateo is the same as visiting San Francisco. Ain't no professional QB getting bothered by 1.5 yards of space.
"game plan that clearly worked" - That doesn't mean it's above criticism or reproach. Folks are still in here correctly going at Kyle's first few series and you're not sprinting through here with a 49ers flag telling them to hush up. Bosa must be your favorite overpaid player.
Ain't no DC in the world is cool with the even if it means getting blocked 10 seconds strategy against a very good receiving core. I'll say this again because you seem to have missed it. There is a HUGE difference between containing a QB and not getting any pressure at all. HUGE.
If you're one of those fans who watches games with their eyes closed and is cool with accepting the team's post game PR, then have at it.
