Finally caught up. Goddamn what a fall off for Dris. Dude was a wild boy 6 years ago ready to ride for Sunny n Dushane but that stroke and the being older slowed him the fukk down. Dude just kept lacking and took the demotion to heart. Dushane should of handled it better but he was under pressure from Haze and Sugar. What a great follow up to the first two parts. Top Boy does for the street life in London what The Wire did for the streets in B More. Jamie should of moved his fam, not himself. He also should of clapped Leyton sooner before he went lonewolf on Sunny. I love Jaq, she’s fierce. She’s like a young Dris but a lot smarter. Jamie also fukked up with that whole ZT shyt. It’s all about that money. If you going to war, you not making Ps, blood. You see Sunny growing with the loss of Jase(which was so fukked up. Kid had no luck in life like Sunny said). It was crazy and sad seeing Jem. Dude being a junkie. I wanted to see what Ra’Nell was up to. Jermaine is gonna catch a hot one sooner than later. I thought we was gonna see Rafe. Son was menacing

I love that Top Boy doesn’t glamorize the street life. shyt is a miserable existence and for what really? I feel bad for Jamie’s brothers. Permanently scarred for life. Aaron spit some hard truths to Jamie. It was so sad and stupid that Dris would jeopardize his life and leave his daughter alone in the world because he felt slighted. His death fukked me up. Dushane made that ruthless turn when his cousin was killed with no remorse. Can’t wait for season 4. And I can’t front them London boys be rocking some fly ass gear. And them cars with the euro plates and the driver seat being on the right.

I was surprised they didn’t just have jamie kill him when they fought...if they do bring jermaine back next season then I suspect sully will kill him early in the season and put an end to that storyline w/ them feuding

ya his sister...there were little things I forgot re: modie since I marathoned the last 8 eps in one nite...but his storyline and disdain for sully makes complete sense to me now after watching that character recap darealness posted

“gritty” is the perfect word...I’m watching the original S1E1 and it’s not as polished as the new season but there is a rawness that it seems to capture...I can’t speak on shyt in the UK...I spent all of one day in brixton in '95 and that’s about it...but it seems to be authentic tho

it’s odd that I literally don’t remember anything about this series except for the S2 finale...maybe bcuz of how short the seasons were...cuz there are older shows I remember a lot of details about but I’m drawing a blank on this series

a pleasant surprise was the chic who was w/ dude when the “food” got stolen...I’m thinking she has such a beautiful smile and bright eyes...and I couldn’t help but think how cute she is when I’d see her in a scene...then I realized it’s fukking letitia wright...that fukking smile of hers

I was wondering what happened to shorty from season 1 and read that she went through depression. I’m wondering if that played a part in her not being in s2 because she and Jem are the ones that went solo and went into business with Vincent. The storyline would of played out different if she was in it because Jem wasn’t too bright to handle growing something as fickle as weed.

Also the stabbings and throwing acid is some grimy ass shyt. You gotta have real cojones to stab someone. Anyone can pull the trigger but to get up close and personal, where you can feel someone’s life force leave their body when you stab them is not for the faint of heart.

Modie is a fukking dikk head and wanted to exert his power by fukking with someone that has the rep that Sully has. I also guess also what he did to Jermaine might be a factor but I don’t think Jermaine was really fukking with him like that. Son did all that shyt cuz he was under pressure from Modie.
