Even if u saod british it still doesnt make sense because scotland is apart of britain

Both those accents you listed are british, what are you even talking about?

So youre okay with british accents on whote people but not black people

Damn thats some c00nish shyt breh

Hes referring to the black London slang and lilt. I understand what he's saying and I live here. Lower middle class and downwards blacks or whites, speak a certain kind of way. White low class (chav) accents are the worst. Black slang of a London accent can be jarring till you get used to it. Its weirdly staccato with downward inflections.

But all those accents are still british accents

He then goes on to say he likes scotish accents as if scotish accents are not british accents smh

Scottish accents don't sound the same as Irish, Irish doesn't sound the same as Welsh, Jordy, Mancunian or Essex. There just may be something particular about the black London accent he doesn't like, It may be the most abrupt sounding of all the rest listed above; it's not as smooth as say someone from Manchester for example. It just doesn't irritate you as much. :manny:

You try telling a Scottish person they're British and see how far you get. If you want to go into semantics, Scotland wasnt originally apart of Britain therefore different tribe, flag, laws and accent. There was vote a couple years ago regarding independence from England; the fact there was a vote in the first place speaks volumes.

The I in Team
Mans on this show should win awards bruv innit.

On some real shyt Top Boy really is one of the best series out. What I like the most about it is it doesn’t glorify the street life, it makes everything seem sad and pathetic. At the end you have to ask yourself why? What’s the point? The money ain’t worth it, lives have been destroyed, families gone, everybody suffering. That’s real. Most of these other shows glorified this shyt. Make you root for the bad guy. I feel like after the end of the season you question the motives of everybody. Everything is fukked all lives destroyed there’s no winning any of this stuff. Is it just to make P’s? The endgame really is you lose. That’s so real. Excellent season.

Jamie was my favourite character. Sully was #2. Dushane is the ultimate dirtbag. He needs to go for that shadiness at the end. A lot of problems in life is because of him.

Modie was a dope character. Wish they kept him on for season two back in jail. Show him selling dope and running the jail.

County lines are a big thing in the UK I’m reading so they should’ve shown that more

As someone who grew up in the hood in London (more like Kendrick, was cool with the roadmen on my estate but wasn’t involved) I tip my hat off to everyone involved in creating this season :ehh: Season 1 & 2 were great but this was a step up to all time GOAT level.

The topics were so real and relatable it was hard for me to watch at times (gentrification, mental illness & ptsd in the hood, young brother having a stroke, immigration, absent parents, dudes involved in the road life out of necessity due to their situation) I saw all of these things growing up in the hood so it was very accurately done. I was never involved with the road life cause my parents sheltered me but I hope this show brings light in the UK as to why dudes are involved in the street life. The media here likes to demonise us but this might wake people up and realise most the these dudes were born into a situation that pretty much forced them to get involved.

One last thing, the acting especially from Kano was exceptional. This season put Power to shame and it’ll be hard for me to watch the rest of the season. I know Drake is the coli ‘s number 1 enemy but props to him for helping bring this show back.

100%

When you see innocent people like Donovan, Ats mom, kids getting acid I’m their face, the bros being falsely arrested , etc - it puts in perspective the realities of it

Even Sully and Dushane have a convo about this

Not true, they wouldn't need to have a flag for England and Scotland separately then if that was the case. The same way the United States weren't always one till they came together hence the UNITED states. Britannia as a country was named so back to the times of the Roman invasion. Back then England only stretched as far as Hadrian's wall (built to keep out undefeated Scottish rebels) as the Roman invasion was constantly fought back by Scottish tribes and other "native tribes to the land". Boudicea was one such warrior who battled the Roman's around this time. ( Think Xena warrior princess) whilst she wasnt Scottish she was still one of those tribes that occupied the land and had it's own customs till the Roman's finally conquered the land which took over 300 years. Sooo even as far back as the Roman's Scotland had their own land and people. Mary queen of Scots and James 1 were rulers of their own Dominion. So once again different people different accent.

What are you talking about

England and scotland are two different xountries so of course they need their own flag

But both the scotish flag and english flag are amalgamated into the british flag

Scotland is a british country, this isnt debatable its a fact, its as much british as wales or england

I can't have people calling Dushane a monster. If he's a monster what does that make Sully or Modie? Or even Jamie for that matter. The whole events of the season were kicked off by
an act of a moral intervention by Dushane, which was totally selfless and one which he knew would put him and his family in Jamaica in immediate danger. If he was such a monster why would he risk his life and those of his family's to save, as Sugar called her, a useless old woman?

Not to even mention his looking the other way over Jaq's insubordination and what her sister did, or all the shyt he did in the first two seasons

Out of all the gangsters we've seen in the show, Dushane easily has the most consistent and the strongest sense of a conscience and morality
