This team isn’t gonna be good enough to beat top 4 teams in either conference unless we have a hot shooting night.
Siakam played three and a half good quarters and then threw it all away by trying to be a hero. That’s fine if you’re getting good shots but he wasn’t. He still plays too fast and loses his balance too often. If it’s not on a straight line or out of the post then he just needs to not attempt it. He better off playing from a triple threat with jab steps and up fakes rather than trying to dribble from the perimeter. He don’t got that shyt in his repertoire yet and I’m not sure he has the coordination to ever get that.
Powell is just ass.
FVV scored a lot but played a shytty game overall but again when his threes fall it disguises all of the horrible decisions with the ball.
Lowry showing his age.
Bembry needs to not see the floor. He’s NOT better than TD and I’d love to see what Flynn could provide.
Baynes can’t rotate well enough to play in our defence.

The bubble was not an outlier more like an eye opening to what he actually he is.....in crunch time he doesnt have the testicular fortitude to be the man.

Somebody need to teach Siakam how to play basketball. I don’t mean dribbling and shooting (which he still needs obviously) but to teach him what a high percentage shot is and how to get it. Dude dribbles himself into shyt positions and wonders why he can’t get shyt done. Zero fourth quarter points again is inexcusable.
Hes a lost cause you cant teach him mental toughness and poise...That turnover where he was falling down and threw up that corny off balance floater is a microcosm of who he is and what he is....he rushes when hes pressured he has no mental capacity to be the main guy...Ive seen too much of it now its not gonna change.
Now you have to realize it is gonna be a bad contract and we rushed to give it to him...

I think this is a blessing in disguise tbh. The longer we stick with this core, the more we'll see that it's simply not going to work. We can't build half-heartedly with "decent" players like Detroit did after the best players from their championship team left and expect to win. That shyt has lasting effects and has led to nearly 13 years of mediocrity for Detroit with no end in sight. You cannot expect to win without a real star in their prime, and we don't have anyone close to being a star in their prime right now.
The supporting cast has been extremely bad so far. This team might be 2-8 by the time we play Charlotte again.
I agree that you can’t teach mental toughness. If he doesn’t have it he doesn’t have it. You can however teach players to make better decisions. Siakam doesn’t know what good shots look like. He could make his life a lot easier if he developed a jab step mid-range jumper that he could rely on. Dribbling isn’t his thing and I doubt it ever will be. So play from triple threat and get your buckets that way. He trying to be Durant when he needs to be more Jamal Mashburn.
Btw I’m not saying he gonna morph into a first option, I’m saying he can be at least as good as Derozan was in terms of impact which would be great because then we could trade him for something of value.

let's be honest, aside from drafting well and that one year he got Kawhi because the Spurs were being petty with the Lakers, Masai hasn't done shyt. the joke has always been "he's evaluating". everyone can see that this team ain't it. trade Lowry for a first round pick and start the tank. I wish we had Sam Presti right about now. he gave away CP3 and Steven Adams like it was nothing. Masai is way too attached.
